The MeiLong 3M V2 is a new budget cube from MFJS (a MoYu sub-brand). At $9.99, this is the cheapest cube with UV coating, making this an ideal cube for testing out UV coating if you haven't tried it before, and makes the idea of something like UV coated force cubes sound much more reasonable! But how does this cube compare to other popular $10 cubes like the RS3M 2020? Jesse and Jules are here to tell you all about it.

I’m unbelievably excited about this! The Meilong 3M has been one of my favourite feeling cubes after setups and break in, and I have $100’s worth of high end flagships. It might just suit my turning style, not sure. But to me? God tier puzzle. It just… works. And feels great.

fair, if you dont have it you could get the ys3m cause it also has a snappy clicky feel and it might be why you like the meilong so much definitely watch some reviews before choosing what to do though

@@inseminggd9435 I’ll eventually get a YS3M, just wasn’t in a hurry to add it to my collection… which has grown substantially (had over 50+ 3x3’s I’m sure by this point). But I wanted the Meilong 3M V2 specifically because of my love of the original Meilong 3M. With my turning style and feel preferences, it beats all my GAN cubes except my GAN 11 M Pro in UV (with black internals 😎) I would recommend the Meilong 3M over every other cube for beginners. Including the RS3M 2020. That cube requires too much setup in my opinion to be usable. Once broken in, the Meilong is SOOOO buttery smooth. Tight enough that you don’t have to worry about corner twists (which for a beginner that doesn’t notice can make them have a bad time…), cheap and magnetic and consistent in quality.

@@arseniy5537 hard to say “better”, they both have their advantages. For example, the Meilong is better without setup out of the box (for me), but if you add extra magnets and lube the RS3M, it’s amazing.

*Fun fact :* If you add extra magnet to your cube without gluwing your magnet can displaced if your cube is dropped or hit by something very hard 🙂
