My favourite thing about this is the look on the pianist's and the page turner's faces when he's still playing his cadenza 😂 amazing playing!!

As a Jazz Violinist I really appreciate this! I often play along with the Bassoon or English Horn Sound on MuseScore when I'm learning tunes as the Vibrato, Timbre and Intonation are very compatible with my Fiddle. Thanks! Bravo, Bravissimo!

Siempre he creído que la música debe ser un juego. Si no te diviertes no vale la pena hacer música. Este señor hace algo que muy pocos se atreverían: divertirse en un juego entre Mozart y él. Seguramente, el autor celebraría su atrevimiento, continuando hasta terminar con las opciones que se les ocurrieran. Para mí, ¡fantástico!

Extreamily musical playing. Even on "usual" sections of the piece; he can avoid clumsy staccatos and overaccents;. very often so typical amongst bassoonists..

Аплодисменты скудные! ((( По мне, так профессионал может интерпретировать как захочет, на то он и профи! Старые ржавые Консервные Консерваторы!!! Я понимаю, подростки балуются, играть не умеючи.... Но мастер своего дела Показал Класс!!! Браво!

а ещё есть такой критерий как "соответствие эпохе" и тут можно нолик ставить, поэтому апплодисменты соответсвующие. Обязательный критерий каденции - соблюдение стилистики. Ты не можешь вставить абы что, тут основной материал - Моцарт. профессионал действительно может интерпретировать как хочет, просто это конкурс и здесь есть судьи и публика , надо быть готовым, если исполнять ТАКОЙ номер на главном музыкальном конкурсе, то ты ничего не выграешь. Зато весёлое видео на ютубе теперь лежит

I was thinking that too. Schickele surprised me when he played bassoon at a concert about 45 years ago. He was def into bassoon, so I figured he might have heard this.

@@theexcaliburone5933 what makes you sad about me? I guess art has that function sometimes. He's a great bassoonist! Tone, technique... just didn't choose the appropriate language for the competition, and thus the elimination was well deserved. This doesn't reduce his artistry in any way!

@@mikensio that you have such strict musical classifications, I think that the artistry with which he played the music should have transcended the (mostly made up) boundaries of musical styles

@@theexcaliburone5933 classical academic music has well-defined languages. You don't play a Mozart the same way you would play a Berio. When you're a pro and you play as a soloist, you do as you wish, but not in a competition. The competition is looking exactly for that, for your comprehension and interpretation of the language. And I don't believe every boundary in art is "made up", otherwise we wouldn't study Aesthetics or History of Art/Music.

@@mikensio the point of a competition should be to find the best musician no? I don’t know if he was having not heard any of the other contestants but blurring musical boundaries does not negate musicality
