this is probably my favorite version of this concerto. the orchestra played with such expression and they really knew how to match up with Frank, who imo has the best interpretation of this piece, even rivaling Hilary Hahn

An astonishing performance, the music is throughout played with a beautiful, full, and resonant tone. The more romantic approach provides the listener with an entertaining, and engaging expirience. Mr. Zimmermann especially does a great job at combining a modern and old school playing style, all while still performing with phrasing, that withholds the musical integrity. The performance was very enjoyable.

His playing reminds me a lot of Arthur Grumiaux.

He's listened to a lot of Grumiaux :) I think now he even plays on Arthur's old fiddle.

Zimmerman used a great deal of vibrato but it didn’t affect the elegance of the piece. He is the prince of the vibrato! Loved it!
