It looks animation accurate from one very specific angle. Move him ever so slightly and you get Kibblebee lol

Seems like the new mp styling focuses more on front facing presentation. Bee's feet LOOK great as long as he doesn't turn to the side. Similar to MP-44 with his backpack. 🤷‍♂️

The backpack makes him look like a Ninja Turtle and the feet look like he stepped on a car...

I look at MP-21 and then this one and I can't help thinking "what went wrong?" The older Bumblebee looks so much better in both robot and alt mode so I will be sticking with that one.

as big as the backpack is, i do like how flush it is. it isnt a giant hunk stuck to the back, it curves round and keeps the silhouette

it amazes me how intricate these transformations are compared to the originals and how compacted some of these part can fold into itself to form limbs. so very cool.

Spike is supposed to come up to Bumblebee's waist not his shins I think the MPP-10's Spike is in the proper scale with the robot forms.

I honestly kinda enjoy the original mp bumblebee more, mainly due to the more realistic car mode and they at least threw in Daniel spike robo thing to help justify the price

First off, awww! Anyway, the transformation reminds me of animated Bumblebee except everything in robot mode is flipped. Trunk, or in this case hood, for the chest, front of the car for the feet. He lost weight but he has chubbier cheeks now. His feet are kinda flat but at least he has hand and wrist articulation now. They put a lot of engineering into such a small toy! I think it's cool they made a cartoon accurate version of him even if everything from the ankles up is foux, not that I care about foux parts. Cool toy, but I'll stick with the original. It is cool that the smaller car becomes the taller robot though. Oh and one more thing! Awww!

He's seems so scrunched up in the vehicle mode. I know it's cartoon accurate, but. Still.

During the transformation, my ears noticed that there was some kind of relaxing piano music on the background, it's volume was veeeeeery low, but I'm sure it's there. If it was you, Emgo, the one who put the music for the review, then nice touch! I hope you keep with than in upcoming reviews! 👍

The only thing I don't like about the new 'cartoon-accurate' versions is that they just have a much more complex transformation sequence. Also, the faux panels! Even though I don't plan on getting him, new Bee is an amazingly huge improvement over original in terms of looks and cartoon-accuracy.

The first MP Bee handled the Bot mode better. Especially the front of the Beetle becoming his feet.

The price is too expensive for this size. I'm a little bit sad because the master piece line keeps getting expensive. I think this product is really well suited to our troubles, but I'm a little bit sad when it comes to foot. Thank you for the good review.😎😎😉☺️🥰🇰🇷

I suffer from some serious BumbleBee fatigue at this point, I even swore I would never buy another one. I truly am sick of Bee. This one looks awesome in my opinion though. He is cartoon accurate right down to the disproportionate alt mode. If I ever win the lottery I would consider buying one. Also your skit at the end was really funny

MP-45 Bumblebee looks okay, but isn't there a third party company who can create a better Masterpiece G1 Bumblebee?

He's supposed to be round on his body, not really a fan of g1 but when they're making the toy as it looks just like from the show it is amazing how they do it and it transforms

Emgo is just Gollum but everything is his precious

With such cartoon accuracy I am kind of surprised his interior is not hot pink in color.

Was the chest supposed to pop out of the grooves when you pushed the backpack in? It looks like they were made for the lower chest to sit in when it's fully transformed. I'll need to check mine tonight (which also has its QC issues with paint and plastic damage out of the box, although a lot of people seem to have received worse).

the swappable part of his face makes me think of andross, the last boss from the starfox games. Especially the one with the open mouth... just sucking everything in and then spitting out square plates of chrome death at you

I don't care i love the way he looks i don't even mind his feet or the backpack. He is half the size of the original on vehicle mode but yet he is taller on robot mode i love that engineering the only problem i have with him is the price to expensive

I don’t actually hate it but they would have been better off having a car shell with a more toon accurate robot folded up inside, or a separate car and a figure. I think at the very least they should have mad3 some covers for the ‘car crusher’ kibble.

Wow. The car mode looks exactly like in the cartoon. I thought that the more realistic look for the earlier Masterpiece model was chosen because it would not be possible to transform such a small car into such a tall robot... but it is! The robot mode is also even more cartoon-accurate than the MP-21 model. I find it interesting that it looks very much like Bumblebee does in both forms in the cartoon - and it only took 35 years to make after the first episodes of the cartoon (which was supposed to market these toys in the first place) were produced.

His face was not that fat in the cartoon! And they made more complicated transformation for the sake of cartoon looks. Version 1.0 is still my favorite.

I wanna like it so bad. The car mode is great except for the opening doors and trying to fit Spike inside. The robot mode has one good angle: the dead front. Why Takara thought the amount of kibble was an acceptable design choice perplexes me. I'd rather get the first MP Bumblebee because that had a more realistic car mode and a much better, less kibbley robot mode.

Overall, not the worst figure ive ever seen, but its a bit unfortunate that there is no waist rotation due to the backpack, but I'm sure someone out there who's crafty enough can give him one. 😉
