MP Han Dong has resigned from the Liberal caucus and will sit as an Independent after a new report alleged that he spoke with Chinese diplomats in 2021 to advise them to continue to hold two Canadians captive to help the Liberal party. Notice how he never calls out the totalitarian regime in Beijing, nor does he attempt to distance himself from the CCP. Why won't he join other Chinese Canadians in standing against them? I think the tears are real. Publicly losing face and shaming your family is one of the worst things that can happen in Chinese culture. I don't think the tears have anything to do with his "innocence" though. He should be crying all the way to prison...

If this member of parliament is innocent, why he resigns in the mid-term? At least a public inquiry to prove innocent? If he is guilty, either as an independent member or under any party's membership, his title is rescinded. He should stand before the court as a perpetrator to punish for wrongdoing, misleading, and mistrusting the public.
