Haha. Got the PC version 😂, but some hugger hemi orange, a hazzard county Tenn battle flag decal set and I'm back in business. Your kit is awesome! Great job!😎

Looks great, with the exception of, the taillight panel should be black!

They did do a few scenes with a car without a black panel in one of the later series. John Schneider said to Tom Wopat that there was something 'not quite right' about The General. It took them a little while to figure out that the back panel should have been black. The workshop guys copied a miniature model of the car. I have a miniature model of the car which also doesn't have the black tail light panel.

My father had the older model of this which was a darker orange and more of a red, one morning before he went to work for my birthday he gave me this model kit. Good memories.

Im alittle late,but nice work mike,i got my origanal one out from 79 or 81 ,but any way i used 3m rubbing compound and polish,and wow mine is bran new again ,but these are rugged and fun models.thanks

The rear is off, it needs something oh yeah! The tail light area is black

Honestly, if you do another one, used revells 1968 AND 1969 Dodge chargers, this kit and fireball motor works vectors and a nice coat of Big bad orange! Make your own push bar :)

Nice job on the General Lee. I have a question How did you separate the decals from the paper after wetting it. Cause I'm getting ready to put one together.

Jonathan Garbosky Thank you! After submerging the decals in Luke warm water and prepping the areas-to be decaled with micro sol setting solution, I slid the decal off the backing with a q tip and lined them up where I wanted them to go. Afterwards I used a paper towel to absorb any excess liquid. Hope this helps.

Cool cause I was asking cause I've done one before and some how I missed up the decals cause I used warm water but when I took them off they broke apart. I'm pretty much new to this. So I'm learning on the way.

What shade of paint did you use?

Hi Madeline, I actually used a custom color mix for the body of the General Lee. In my Episode 4 video in this series I explain that I use two different colors. The CraftsSmart Gloss acrylic paint of Orange and Bright Red. The primary color was the Orange with a few drops of Bright Red along with some windshield wiper fluid to thin it out. Then I shot it thru an airbrush with light coats. Hope this answers your question.
