Damn that's a serious inconvenance, but thank GOD the resample & bounce feature works...

Good tip man , its so logical yet i didnt think about it. Especialy good for fabric xl cuz i understood thats to heavy for standalone. I looked for fabric regual seperate but all i could find is the whole package , i dont want that

My favorite way of doing this is firing up the Roland Integra 7 and finding similar sounds (often better) and sample the instrument in as a keygroup. I might still want to work with the MIDI data so bouncing out is something I do later in the process. Also, in that rat’s nest of free expansions you get with Akai, you might find a keygroup that works just fine to replace pianos, e-pianos, strings, and bass sounds. Some of them sound good and are more memory efficient. You can also resample a favorite plugin into a keygroup. Since my workflow is many sequences strung together and I’m still tweaking melodies and harmonies up to the last minute, I bounce out late.

Same thing I do with the Integra 7. I haven’t used auto sampler yet…They should really over emphasize you need to use midi din cables for that. I usually play what I play via midi then bounce it to audio. Mute the midi track and turn off and turn auto to off. The great part of the Integra 7 is that it always shows Program MSB and LSB. I have the XV-5080 and JV-1080 too. You need to have a book or pdf to figure out what sound is where in the banks. If you have that setup and are in the habit of saving your sets and parts. You can always recall your instruments and have the midi data in the project for further changes. But yeah just rinse repeat a few times for other tracks and finally chop the audio tracks so they loop. It’s better to loop the repetitive stuff because it’s better for the warp algorithm if you need to adjust the tempo. Use them in a drum track. Toggle note on so there’s no unwanted overlapping. I always think it’s funny when people can’t get over the limitations. You hear all these big full tracks, but they have no idea of the workarounds.

Hella dope homie. Thanks for sharing.

is it also possible to record all the tracks in one wav file and then import? because now you did them all seperate. Might be faster if you're sure about the sequence you made

Melody is also dope btw..

Can do the same thing on fl, but it's way more simple. Sometimes I be thinking about getting my money back 😅

This would be a good vid, if you condensed it into a KZfaq short

This is not a flagship device. The only problem I have with it is switching tracks wile my music is playing. The audio will drop out for a second or two.

It's a shame that such a new device only has 2 GB RAM like 15 years ago. What musicians need most is RAM. My computer has 128 GB of RAM. 2 GB RAM in 2024! Unbelievable! I'm shocked!

It's not really bad because in a real music band there's not so many instruments when you really think about it like rs you don't need symphony I don't know if I spelled that right but yes we don't need all that but i think 10gigs wud hit the hot spot but with that you can over do it resulting in muddying to much going on

Yeah it’s not that bad.

2 GIG RAM 😂 I ain’t saying man can’t make beats on that MPC because it’s totally possible , but for that price for MPC KEY 37 is jokes and having to jump around hurdles just so you don’t run out off space ain’t acceptable in 2024 😢 we wanna see 8gig minimum for that price point

AKAI is living in 2006 thinking 2GB memory is enough.

Thanks but this is a terrible workflow to prevent a memory issue akai should know better if they want to sell plugins they need to expand the ram memory.
