It’s the AFM that usually causes the lifter problem. Is it best to do away with the AFM?

In reality is this a good time to do the heads anyways? What lifters do you normally go for?

How much roughly did it cost the customer to fix this lifter and cam shaft problem ? I might have the same problem with my LS2, it has hydraulic roller cam, it only starts ticking after around 5-10 mins after the car warms up to normal temperature.

@@megamindtvsydney3967 it ended up being 1 rocker arm and 1 valve. Put a new set of genuine gm rocker arms with custom bearings, plus a set of valves. Altogether cost me $1100. Luckily I didn’t have to change the lifters or cam. I may have over payed but I’m happy the ticking is gone and car back on the road.

@@megamindtvsydney3967 I also have a set of ls7 lifters and buckets ready to go if need be. Bought them back when I thought it was lifter tick. 😅

Hi Adam mint vid my ve s2 has done same thing I think have not pulled it apart yet the cam that I’d in the ve on this vid can I use this cam in a auto stock stall and can I by kit of u thanks Adam

I had a failed lifter on Cyl 7 on my VE SS, and upon inspection by the mechanic I was quoted $10,000-$12,000 for this job. If that helps you

@minecraftperson999 change your mechanic ....you can buy a brand new ls for that price I would say $500 for a set of lifters an buckets $600 for a cam $2000 in labour plus consumables ....let's say $4000 tops
