As a kid you would be more terrified of it. Its scary due to the uncanny valley effect which happens when things look kinda human. We developed it as a defence mechanism and kids are more affected by it. Hence why they sometimes are absolutely terrified by a random toy or doll.

@@joshuakaha1115 The first lesbian that I met didn't leave a good impression on me. I was 6 or 7 and my parents hired a butch lesbian to be my nanny. This happened a long time ago and she was the first butch lesbian that I ever saw. The way she looked and act made most guys i knew at the time look like a bunch of sissies and she was strict as fuck. She won't hesitate to give me a smack for misbehaving. But the time that truly scared me was when she had to spend the night cause my parents were going out of town. I woke up in the middle of the night to what sounded like murder in my living room. Pretty sure now that she was just fucking someone but i was a kid at the time, to me yelling, screaming, cursing and the sound of something being beaten meant murder. Told my parents about it and haven't seen her since.

XCEX ODIOUS I was definitely not one of them. I had a "trauma" from illnesses when I was very young. I was so terrified of doctors and needles that I would kick into fight or fly mode as soon as a doctor got close to me.

After the terrible season 10, and several crap episodes in season 11, this episode was a strong return to form. It could have been straight out of the first 4 seasons of X Files. Solidly creepy.

I found this to be the weakest episode of the last 2 seasons. By-the-numbers, predictable, cliched, kind of dull, unnecessarily mean-spirited, and totally botched its "witch hunt mentality" commentary.

As dark as the demon and chuckleteeh main plot line was, can we just talk about how freaking dark the whole thing with the whole town turning on the clown guy. He was literally hunted down like a dog and executed in front of the town when he had nothing to do the children's murder. And how later the town just swept the thing under the rug, blamed him for the murders and had the cop walk free. Its even darker when we know people do stuff like that irl. It was a really great episode, very reminiscent of some of the stronger parts of the older season. I also love the Silent Hill feel of the town.

To be fair, I thought Annabelle Creation was actually pretty good (I haven't seen any of the other movies, though). It was overshadowed in popularity by IT, which came out a month or two afterwards, but Annabelle Creation used its soundtrack to build the tension masterfully, and had some really cool scares and sequences.

I prefer The Boy over Annabelle (even though I love the first two conjuring movies.) It's just that what child would find Annabelle likable to the point that they want tea parties with this creepy ass ugly doll? At least in The Boy it made sense, the doll wasn't really creepy, unsettling or ugly and it looked like a real doll that a child from an old English family would probably play with.

every time i see that thing it sends chills down my spine, i will not and a cannot believe that mr chuckleteeth would ever be a well liked kids show character. If i saw my kid watching that show id turn off the tv immediately and make them play outside. All and all very terrifying monster really well done
