Cheers Jim👍 It was the first time I had used a DE shavette and the first time using a Kamisori. A well known sphincter muscle was certainly puckering up all the way through that shave😂🤣😂 I think I just about got away with it to be honest. My lower neck area is quite sore though I must admit.

Shavettes are definitely the ninja type razors..it took me a good several months to become proficient with them..now I use shavettes almost exclusively. My safety razors never get any love anymore these days.

Hi Joäo👋 I love the Arkadia scent. Stunning is the only way I could describe it. As you probably saw in the video, I have the soap, splash and balm. I will take a look at the channel you mention. The scent sounds interesting👍 How long have you had the 31R? You should give it a go🙂 Just be aware, shaving with a straight takes longer to learn the DE shaving. You will draw blood at first but within about 3 - 5 shaves you will begin to see improvement.

@@MrGShave I probably have the 31R for around 3 years now... yep... I used it a couple times but always frightful. I guess I'm always waiting for the right moment since I shave everyday except for Sunday. Don't know why I figure that a shavette works best with a few days growth but I never get there. On the other hand I have to overcome the knowledge that I will show some cuts that day and probably the next ones :) At some point I will try the Arkadia splash to have a real scent comparison with the original.

Sorry for the delay in responding to this one. Must have missed it somehow. I was the same when I watched others trying straight razors but eventually the itch just got too much to ignore lol

Hi Nègyp👋 This was my first time using a Kamisori and probably the last🤣😂🤣 I found it quite awkward but I guess with practice I could get used to it. With regards to shavettes. They are a really easy way to get into straight razor shaving and are far less hassle than a straight. When the blade is done, just replace it. My favourite shavette is the Weck with a Kismet blade in it, but a Kismet Shavette is far cheaper and much more accessible. There is a difference though. There is nothing quite like shaving with a real straight razor. I can't really put my finger on it but it just feels better🙂
