The concept of the film is similar to Dangal. While Dangal justifies the dream of a father who trains his daughters for wrestling in natinal level which he had already accomplished in his youth. But in this movie Rajkumar Rao didn't achieve anything in cricket related field nor his wife had any prior cricketing experience. Its just too stupid of an idea to think the wife would leave her carrer in Medical to pursue her husband's dream of wanting her to play cricket. Unbelievable in this day and age.

I don't know what's wrong with the comment section but nobody really discussing the movie. Some section asking for another movie review, another section spammin mushkil se mushkil chants..i mean show some respect and support to the video. He worked hard to write the script. So at least discuss ,debate and raise questions or points if you agree or disagree with his opinion

I could guess it was complete nonsense from the trailer itself. If it was the girl's dream to become a cricketer, it wouldn't be so bad but she leaves a really good job that she wasn't even forced into just because her husband wanted to be a cricketer but he couldn't become one so he wanted his wife to be it instead?? Wtf.. seems like manipulation to me. And if it seemed like they were going to get separated because of his demand, it'd be even better and more realistic but they stay together and she achieve his dream for him??? I didn't find any reason to watch this movie at all

The way they are promoting Janvi's cricket, but in actual it could have been anything.. Though I liked Rajkumar Rao's grey shade character here, his performance was good..I would suggest to watch 'Dear Comrade' on the same type of concept but far better with an actual social message and great chemistry between leads..Dharma could have just remake that as Karan Johar already have the remake rights of Dear Comrade..

Could've tweaked this to that she was an u-17 cricketer, but left it for MBBS, and that she wanted to play further, but succumbed to family pressure. And it is her choice to get back to the game, after hitting the balls in park, realizing she has still got it instead of her husband putting the burden on her. Then he could've played role of a coach and mentor. I feel in India it's not an option that you can play cricket actively and also pursue a degree, so that was the choice the protagonist has to make.

@@mtk3755 oh yeah. Absolutely exceptions apply. But the norm is definitely different. Varun Chakravarthy also left cricket and came back. And that is why I feel she couldn't have done both especially when she is raw and probably requires more training.

Totally agree with the review. I think we need to have good scriptwriters. The story and screenplay could have been different with the same cast. The wife could have played a supporting role in making/reviving husband cricketing career, or husband could have trained someone else like a young cricketing girl, which would have brought conflict b/w husband and wife. But the story was written in a very superficial level and not heart touching.

I loved the film thoroughly…it’s true that story could have been more gripping…but this doesn’t make the movie that boring..to the extent you are trying to exaggerate to. There is something called as emotions and it’s picturization which is very good in this movie. It reminded me of the old masterpiece “Abhimaan” having Big B and Jaya Ji. It’s a feel good movie and a must watch. ❤

Doctors themselves say that without Nurses the hospital will not work. Not only is Nurses's education and training hard, but their everyday duty is hard too. When I was admitted in the hospital, the nurses took very good care of every patient. Now I know that there are bad Nurses too, there are good and bad people in all professions, but comeon, no need to insult essential healthcare providers or workers

जहानवी नहीं जाह्नवी नाम है। ह का उच्चारण आधा‌‌ होगा। जह्नु ऋषि ने गंगा का सारा जल पी लिया किंतु फिर विनती करने पर कान से निकाल दिया। इसलिए गंगा जाह्नवी कहलाई। बालीवुड में संस्कृत नाम अब कम ही सुनने को मिलते हैं इसलिए इस नाम का सही उच्चारण करके इसकी मधुरता को बनाये रखना आवश्यक है।
