I dated a girl in college 5 years and thought she was the one. She made me so happy and we would spend hours together, talking about how many kids we would have, where we would live, how we wanted to grow old together. We went on a vacation to Hawaii and this was on the radio almost every day. It was around the time of that vacation that I started drinking really heavily. After that trip we slowly started to drift apart because of my drinking and because we were drifting apart I got more depressed and drank even more and more. Over the course of a few months we eventually completely drifted apart and our relationship had ended. I could never get over that girl and what we could have been and when this song played I would just drink and drink myself hopelessly numb, until I literally felt like I was drowning. Fast forward 5 years and as of today I am one year sober. Today I can finally listen to this song again and remember the good times we had. Life comes and goes and it's not what life gives you that really matters, its what you do about it. Sometimes there aren't the right words to say.

beautiful song. watching the video is like looking at my past. I was 22 when I lost everything. my girlfriend left me and I became homeless. I had felt empty and at the lowest of my life. I wonder late at nights thinking of her. seeing her at the corner of my eye. it was my brain playing games on me and eventually I had a plan that maybe if i get my shit together she would give me a second chance. however in the end even after getting myself together a place and two jobs she never came back to be mine. she ended up with someone else. It took me 2 years to get over her. pushed other women away for her thinking there was still a chance. Im turning 25 next year and ive grown wiser and stronger. Dont chase after somebody. Its a waste of time. the sooner u accept the sooner ull be happy again. its hard but ull become stronger.

My lady left me about six months ago, we were together for four years. It felt really bad, this song reminds me of her, we used to do exactly those kinds of beautiful things together, but surprisingly, instead of hurting when seeing this. This time around I felt happy. It's amazing how tables can turn. A few months ago I was exactly like the guy on the video, heart broken, broke with no money, no friends, miles and miles away from family with no job. Today, I am up and planning to get myself a Rolls Royce Dawn! I feel like I am on the right path, my life unfolding itself right before my eyes. Happiest times ever. I am glad I never eventually committed suicide, It was horrible, but hey, here I am. Damn it.

You're post is on point for me because. I first heard this song randomly in the Pocono mountains while pulling up to a past Chicks house. Not knowing what was ahead but I knew it was good times. I often think back to that moment. So pleasant and Serene and can never be repeated. To hear this progressive song up in the sticks was weird. One of my favorite tracks.
