This comment section reminds me how subjective music can be. You could paint a picture in your head listening to this song that I'll never see when I hear it, and I'll have my picture you'll never see. Music is absolutely beautiful.

This song reminds me of that feeling when a very special person for you walks out the door leaving but you don't want him to leave and can't do anything about it

Hits home to many this song. I'm often in tears by the time we're halfway through. Special what music does and how it allows us to feel deeply so easily.

this song has been my favorite for over 6 years, this is what cudi said in a complex interview------ In an interview with Complex magazine, Cudi shed light on the song's [Mr. Rager] meaning: "This song is about someone who is fed up with reality, who looks for thrills and excitement by any means. It's just kind of how I was feeling at that point. I was just so angry. Doing coke revived me, and knowing I was so close to death every time intrigued me. I liked the thought of it."This song is about someone who is fed up with reality, who looks for thrills and excitement by any means. It's just kind of how I was feeling at that point. I was just so angry. Doing coke revived me, and knowing I was so close to death every time intrigued me. I liked the thought of it." - Mr.Rager. I'm glad that Kid Cudi is getting so much recognition from youngsters in our generation even on the platforms such as TikTok, but it's sad to see people doing TikToks as: Lip Sync, Why I'm happy to not be born in california, criminal basis.. while Kid Cudi was creating songs about his life problems, depression, drug problems, deaths, just so he can speak to people, his fans thru his songs, tell them, encourage them. This TikTok thing people are doing is nonsense and childish 'Wow this song is such a vibe, so aesthetic, so relaxing" But do you know the meaning of it? His 2000's and 2010's were ready hard, so all he could do is escape with music, I hope people will understand that later or sooner, not for how the melody of his songs are or how he is singing, but respect his songs too, Kid Cudi was ahead of his time. When you grow up I believe you will realise this too. I wouldn't write this, but this TikTok thing that teenagers are doing on his song is just upsetting to me, I hope you understand that :)

Was lucky enough to see Cudi live at TD Garden about a week ago. When this song came on, everyone lost their shit. Everyone in the arena was singing along. It was magical. I feel lucky as hell to exist in the same time as this magnificent piece of art. Thank you Scott. 💜

I've been dealing with Crohn's for about 2-3 years and this song really speaks to me. I feel like I'm Mr. Rager taking the pain and frustration by just raging against it and living defiantly of it.
