I think it's mostly because when we sing lower ranges our voices naturally sound more hushed not as loud as higher pitched ranges so it's natural that the mic didn't pick up her voice but i hear her voice faintly so she's definitely rapping

they do remove it well, the issue is that in singing not everything is actually at the same volume live. Harvey's lines are higher, more powerful, etc while the second girl (don't know her name sorry) sings a lot lower, quieter, and softer. Lower registers with more breath, less power, and quieter volume tend to not be picked up as well and they are distorted or not heard in things like MR removed's. It’s all about volume and breath. Hope that helped!

@@dinonuggets-vl7ms YOU CANT REMOVE IT CORRECTLY. the ONLY way to remove the backtrack is to disable it from the stage. Programs cant distinguish between the backtrack and the voice. It can only separate the intruments from the acapella. I HATE how gullible kpop stan are with these video specially after mr removed blew up

Yall the reason why you cant hear chisa is because she isnt singing live, she got super sick and lost her voice prior to this performance hence why at the fansign they had that same week she had to have harvey do all the talking for her with fans because she couldnt talk 🙏💫

REASON 1: the second girl was very quiet it's because the original audio was to low for her vocal range, she had to lip sync. REASON 2: the removed music in the background was horrible, thats why she sounded like she didn't sing. REASON 3: she was sick, hense she had to lip sync -EDIT- i got this off a video or something, please stop making a fuss in the replies -EDIT 2- im writing down the reasons that you guys say, no one actually knows the real reason 😭 -EDIT 3- im gonna delete this comment if everyone keeps hating.

They tried separating their vocals from the background music and noise for the edit and it did not work out very well. When Chisa is singing, you can hear distortion when her voice is coming through which can happen when trying to dehum and sweeten an audio if you don’t balance it right. You can hear the dehum when Harvey is singing too, it’s adds a slight muffle.

I work in the Music Industry here in London and have done for many years, writing and producing for a lot of very well known bands both here and in the States. Most recently quite a few very well known Kpop and Jpop bands. This is very common - dipping in and out of live vocals. You'd never tell usually. It's not necessarily that the lower range is too tricky outside of the studio, although that part might have taken quite a few takes in the studio. Its probably more to avoid risking voice strain and then struggling for the rest of the show. We work with bands to build lung capacity but no matter how good you are, it's not physically possible to sing and dance for an hour or two and sound exactly the same as the song. Also on tours voices strain and fatigue at different times - especially with larger groups. So this is common. The only bands I've worked with who could do this completely live and were super fit were 'TVXQ" and many of the "NCT" members. Even then, it's not ideal to push groups night after night on long tours. Members tend to get ill faster and for longer, or worse still several members at the same time. Then you've got a real problem. 🤔🇬🇧

Yeah I’ve worked in the music industry as well and this channel is either disingenuous or doesn’t know how artists on tours work. Vocal strain can destroy a lot of artists careers if they don’t take care of it properly and sometimes you have no choice but to lip sync or have a backing track to literally help with your health.

I'm not even really sure that people care that much, they want a good show - it's not cheap going to a concert! But I think the likes of shows like X Factor and American Idol have suddenly made the average person believe they are a mogul and the average karaoke singer believe that they are then next Mariah Carey... because their grandma said they had a nice voice once! It's never that simple. 😁

Perhaps it's the low vocal range for CHISA or other instances during tours/performances, but the first reason why I started supporting them was because the CAN sing live while dancing, their MR removed from other songs are the cool too!

@@xeviktin6203 I've listened to a whole lot of MR removed not just for "Woke up" but for their other songs and they can barely sing while dancing. Needless to say, their choreos are no joke and they always give their 100%. I know that with enough training they'll be able to do both things at the same time, even better than now. This comeback they adapted their choreo so they could sing live, and that was a wise choice, but yeah, even so they're still bound to run out of breath. It's a matter of time. I have no doubts about their talent, and I'm looking forward to see them grow!

My guess is that it’s really hard to rap/sing in that lower register live (without it sounding bad anyways). We all know Chisa is a vocal monster, and I think her part in Woke Up is just out of her comfort zone. She still slays the performances! Edit: I also didn’t know Chisa was sick this performance.
