This just gives me more reasons to have regigigas as one of my favorites.

Maybe he ripped off the unova dragon's head and took it to galar and made regidrago and the rest of the dragon got split up into three parts resulting into the formation of the tao trio(reshiram, zekrom and kyurem)

And then there's Rotom, which was weirdly treated like a legend in its debut generation (even having the legendary theme when you fight it and an event item to access its other forms), before getting tossed aside the next generation and eventually shoved into gadgets for everyday use.

For me it was every one of the 600 base stat total mythicals. Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Victini, and those ones just dont feel "legendary" at all to me. Although it really depends on what you see as legendary. For me, the pseudo legendaries look much more powerful and, well, legendary than some elemental babies. Also the kanto legendary birds look like normal pokemon, and I even think they should've been normal pokemon. Their galarain forms look a lot better, but just the fact that they even have galarian forms gives more weight to the idea that these pokemon should've been just rare pokemon, not legendary. All of this is my opinion, and if you like any of the elemental babies, as I like to call them, then it's all good, pokemon is a game where there are more than 900 different characters, so there are sure to be some you like, and some you dont, that's just natural.

@@elijahmena2907 To be fair though, there is no such thing as "mythical" pokemon. That is a fan made term, so officially, at least, these are known as "event legendaries" since they function pretty much identical to legendaries except the way you get them, the only big difference is that mythical pokemon usually dont have a big impact on the story like legendaries do.

@@babywizard9027 You have it backwards. Mythical Pokemon have always been a distinct group in Japan (where they are called "Illusory" or "Phantom" pokemon). There was no distinct term for them used in non-Japanese media until Gen V, so fans created the "event legendary" term. Nowadays mythicals and legendaries are officially separate groups regardless of region.

My first pokemon game was alpha sapphire and I immediately fell in love with kyogre when I caught him... his primordial rain is amazing combined with his origin pulse that has 120 power and 100 percent accuracy that will fuck anything up. I think hoenn was an extremely solid trio of legends. I just bought ruby to catch groudon.

Yeah but if that's the case they should have had something like an item that made into Regigigas - Released or something along that line. I can understand restricting Slaking for balance but Regigigas? It's a legendary. If anything should be breaking balance then it should be legendaries. Plus it's a leader boss class pokemon like Lugia, Ho-oh and Arceus, you'd expect it to be far better than its subordinates.

Regigigas is my absolute favourite legendary: to the point that I spent many hours shiny hunting him in ORAS, there’s something about the mechanical but overgrown aesthetic that is pleasing to look at. He maybe terrible in comparison to his regi-children (especially registeel) but that don’t matter because he a beautiful boy.
