Marbles name was bought by the Smoky Mountain Knife Works (SMKW) and I bought several of the smaller folding knives made in China. I especially liked the GI Utility, its very good quality knife, said to be made of 7cr17mov stainless steel, for only $5.99 the blade holds a really good edge. I have never been tempted to buy the knives made in Pakistan, the quality is usually very poor using the cheapest junk steel.

Held up fine didn't even cratch it, It's a nice chopper it will be even nicer when i make it razor sharp.. Needs a bit of work but it is a bargain..Thanks ATB

I have the Marbles Bowie MR448 also a Pakistani knife but a horn handle. They aren't too bad for the price. Nice thick blade on that one. I bet if you stuck a zombie in the gut with that, he wouldn't be able to tell the difference between it or an American made Bowie. 🧟‍♂️

Mr448 is a nice one, there some nice inexpensive fixed blades to be found these days....Yes i dont think the zombie would care too much where the knife came from that cut him in half 🤣

I have one of these, but my case is thick and darker along the edge. The blade is razor sharp and has a very sharp point. Mine was more than $16.00.

Is it just me or are fixed blades becoming more popular? I think for 16 bucks you found a good knife. I was surprised that it held up to your testing. Give it a good sharpening and you have a great tool!

I like the look of it a lot, its well worth the money to me even though it needs a bit of work on the blade...I have always liked fixed blades maybe more than any othe type of knife,,,,,Not sure if fixed blades are becoming more popular, interesting thought , that would make a good subject for a video for someone, not me though i'm too busy😅...Thanks RJ

For $10.00 you can get a hard plastic sheath that is Molle compatible from Ka-bar. It's supposed to take blades that are 7" long and 1 1/2" wide. I was wondering if that would be a good fit for this knife.

Seems like a really good deal. Those Bowie knives are attractive knives. They'd be a lot more money if they had a different name on them. This one looks like it's worth the money

Looks like a nice knife. JP please do a video of you sharpening that knife, looks real beefy for the price. A follow up, I took apart my Boker Strike Auto, cleaned it and re-oiled it, lol I used oil that came with my electric beard trimmer. Snaps very nicely now 🤣. PS are there still cargo ships lined up to get into port?

Yeah I was thinking about making a sharpening video,,,,I bet hair clipper oil is perfect for knives, I use Lucas Fishing Reel oil its the best oil i have seen for knife pivots... Yes still container ships but not as many. Thanks JT

Holy crap that's the worst tip ive ever seen. I guess you can't expect a well finished knife for that price. Seems like you get a good bit of knife for the money. I could see this being fun in the woods. Thanks for sharing. I'm guessing this is 400 series stainless. Probably like 410 or so

Sure it seems Pakistan is getting better at making knives than those old 80's-90's Paki "survival" knives but in my opinion if you want a good quality blade that you can actually use straight out of the box then I much prefer the China made Rough Ryder knives available at SMKW that are atleast 440A or in some cases they even have VG-10 and others all usually under $20 but sometimes the higher end designs go for up to $30 then they have a reserve series in D2 but yeah I can honestly trust my RR bowie that very closely resembles my $400 bark river shining mountain bowie that I paid like $18 for but I see now they've gone up to $25 still well worth it if you want good solid large knife to beat on and chop stuff with... they have always came with dead even grinds and razor sharp edges too so that is a huge plus!
