ALL the transitions used within this video are STANDARD transitions including within the free version of Resolve. Just with a few tweaks here and there :)

I've been wondering why my transitions wouldn't go where I wanted them sometimes for a long time. I didn't realize it was because there needed to be some leading or trailing footage. Thank you for clearing that up!

One might not think that you need a fast GPU for some simple editing (no crazy 3D effects), but you do. My old laptop struggles with DaVinci Resolve when the things that I'm doing should theoretically be possible on a computer way older and slower than mine.

To copy the transitions you can also click, CTRL+C and highlight the ends of the clips you want it on by click dragging with the Trim Edit Tool (all the ends will highlight red and green at the end) and press CTRL+V and now you've pasted a transition over all the clips you wanted.

Alternatively you can setup a default transition like you did, highlight all the tracks you want to transition and press CTRL+T to create a transition on them all.

Coming from HTML/CSS coding, many things in DaVinci Resolve make great sense, especially the idea of taking existing built-in effects and manipulating them. It's like manipulating built-in Chromium features. Nodes on the other hand remind me of CSS Classes. I never felt at home with Adobe Premiere and AE, feeling better now.
