Actually, that happens whenever you adapt something from the comics to animated series. They never adapted Kitty's air walking ability, nor Cyclops' ability to ricochet his optic blasts, nor Iceman's ability to further modify his organic ice form. The adaptions don't always include all the powers (like Falcon's telepathy with birds), or downright changes the powers of some character (like with Bwanna Beast in JL Unlimited who didn't create quimeras, using super smell instead).

You have to realize that adaptations oftenly need to nerf or modify the abilities of the characters because in the comics everyone is broken at some point, if they were as strong as the comics there would not be much of a series

@@ijimenez1951 That's right. Depending on the story they want to tell you (either in series or movies), the writers play and regulate the powers according to the plot they're writing. Sometimes, they need the characters as weak as possible power-wise, so the plot can last longer, mantain credibility or to keep it in a reasonable budget (Beast Boy in Titans). Then, there're the opposite cases where the characters are adapted with more powers in comparison with the original product (like Diego from Umbrella Academy).

In defense of her X-Men Evolution version, she was a newbie who just got her powers when we first see her. This version has many years of experience behind her.

@@animeman8203 Very true, but to me, Evolution's Kitty felt like a teenage brat who, at times, slacks off and is barley seen taking things serious during tough situations. Meanwhile, WATXM's Kitty is mostly serious and determined, has confidence, very supportive to the team and her friends and has many years of experience when it comes to combat and using her abilities, like you said. Neither versions are terrible, but Wolverine and the X-Men has a much more accurate version of Kitty Pryde imo.

The advantages of experiences are on this Kitty (who was a member of the X-Men with training already before the series started) compared to Evolution Kitty (who only had a year or so of training by the end of the series).

The thing is she was one the popular marvel females heroes but they barely included her in the movies when she should’ve been in everyone since she’s the youngest member bring a part of the team since 13. Wolverine is her mentor and basically her mutant dad. She was even one that rescue him from kidnappers once I think and was the lead in x men days of future past but they made the wolverine the lead in the movies. I was hoping the give the character small roles in early films until she grows older she get more scenes and get more movie fans then the solo movie. Marvel wasn’t smart with the roll out at all hopefully her solo movie isn’t shelf

Although she can receive damage from magic and some kinds of energy, like Quasar's projections, she's usually untouchable.

Technicaĺy she can receive damage, if she doesn't phase in time. And depending on the density of whatever material she phases through, tires her to a different degree. Meaning she can be tired out by having her phase through really damn dense materials for an extended period of time, and catching her off guard while she's too tired to pay attention. That said, I agree that her power is insanely powerful when it comes to deffensive capabilities; probably the best in that regard. It's her offense that's questionable when we compare her to some higher rated mutants. Sure, she's basically a ninja, has a pet dragon (not in this adaptation) and can instantly kill someone if she has to (even otherwise invulnerable characters), but her powers don't give her any wide area demolishing abilities, that'd be a requirement for the omega level. I'd personally rate her as a solid alpha though. 1 vs 1, there's not many who could beat her. Maybe a telepath would have the easyest job handling her.

I like Kittie but every mutant, like humans, has weakness.

I've created a character for my novels named Emma Shadow AKA Phaser. She was inspired by Kitty's powers and she is a GeneHuman who can walk through walls. And like Kitty, she can phase other people she touches. But unlike Kitty, she cannot phase through lasers because her invisible twin sister Sarah Shadow AKA Invisigal is the one who can phase through light and become invisible. Kitty phasing through lasers in the show (especially the harmless laser pointer) makes me wonder why she doesn't go invisible.

@@SeanWheeler100 Fun Fact: The Invisible Girl from My Hero Academia has been shown to be able to bend lazers through her body and send them in a different direction and can refract the light around her to stun her enemies. I know people like to trash her all the time but props to her for making use of a seemingly basic power.

She should sink down to earth's core every time she uses her abilities, or float off into space if gravity switches off for her.... but she doesn't because she can anchor herself in air even though she passes through solid objects.

That’s honestly how I feel. While I have seen episodes of the 90’s cartoon I remember the previews of Wolverine and the X-Men on nicktoons and I found this version of X-Men to be my X-Men show.

Agreed Kitty Pryde has always been a favourite of mine, I always saw her as a less irritable Jubilee (nothing against the character, or her fan-base, I was just never a fan of her in general, and she was a little annoying in the 90's cartoon). Kitty is really useful when in a fight and has a really fascinating power that can be utilised in various interesting scenario's. She also has great chemistry with the other members and has built strong bonds with fellow X-men because of her quirky character, like Storm (sees her as a mother figure), Logan (sees him as a mentor), Nightcrawler ( brotherly bond/best friend), and Colossus (Kitty's love interest and even marries her, kinda?). I think Elliot Page did a decent job as the character, especially since the plot(s) didn't give her much devotion or screen time. In due time when mutants and the X-men have introduced once again for the MCU, then I hope the team will include Kitty, maybe as a POV character for the audience to see the world of the X-men through the eyes of a child. It wouldn't have to be important, but I think it could have some interesting story-telling potential. Btw I honestly think the MCU has made Wanda more over-powered than this show's Wanda could have ever fathomed, I mean Wanda is confirmed to be stronger than Doctor Strange.
