Took both a 5.0 6 speed and a Golf R MK7.5 6 speed for a 24h test drive recently and I loved both cars. The Golf R defied gravity with its handling and was super nimble and the GT screamed and never ran out of power even above 100mph. A GTI/R with the speed of a 5.0 Mustang is the dream

I miss my GTI, was a quick little car after a few mods. Sold my GTI and built a boosted Coyote and man the coyote was insanely fast.. Sold the coyote and looking for another GTI or a golf R..

i just bought autotechs hpfp, and saw the warning about how with the added pressure, it can cause added wear to the intake camshaft. do you know how often you should check it? i don’t wanna blow my motor lol

Sell your rustang, mqb way more fun then that straight line warrior as a daily and all of the above. Coyote better platform for going fats in a straight line only but trash once you own a couple of years. To each is own tho

@@heygarage5903 that’s where you’re wrong buddy, I had the pleasure of owning 2 MQB’s both modified with a downpipe and tune. Was quick no doubt but my mustang sounds better and I love shifting and hearing the exhaust as a daily. It’s stock tune so I can run 87 octane and still gap some cars. 3 S4’s down 2 bmw’s neck and neck and 2 G37’s down. I get way more races and complements and overall attention in my mustang compared to my A3. The A3 would take the GT from a dig any day but the stang would always take it from a roll. A wider and longer wheelbase with lower center of gravity and the performance package helps this car turn too. Idk why you thought mustangs are on trick ponies… educate yourself and don’t be so naive and arrogant. Both are great platforms I love the underdog mqb representing i just wanted something new and different. 👌

Have you ever driven a dsg? I currently own a mk6 gti manual and im thinking of selling it and start on the mk7 platform just wanted to see your opinion on dsg vs manual

Only in stock form. Gearing is different, other than that manual mk7 will need a clutch upgrade while dsg will needs a trans tune which can make or break your experience with the dsg (shift points, clamping force etc)

I wish I would’ve listened when people told me to skip the is38 part of the build, go straight for a hybrid. The is38 is nice and way better than the is20, but it gets really old really quick, but maybe that’s just me always wanting more!

Depends on power goals. Bigger turbo will always give higher output but at the cost of spool time in rpm

Cant eqt give you a virtual dyno with the street pulls youve sent them? I tuned my mk6 gti with stratified and they always gave me virtual dyno sheets but idk bout eqt i only have their stage 2 software on my a3
