that's the best advice I've heard any KZfaqr say ever lol I preach it and live by it. Sometimes you do need to do things on your own to discover things you would have never uncovered otherwise, it's exciting and refreshing to view and explore the world without interruption from surrounding party members. Yeah it's always fun to have others tag along, but you learn so much more about yourself and the world around you in the solo journey of life. Not to be that introvert, I'm very much both, but solo trips are fun! It might seem a bit scary at first but it's so liberating to be able to see and do whatever you want at your own pace, even be bold enough to make small talk with others around you or cast members, we're all here to do the same thing after all. Enjoy our lives and Disney

That might be the prettiest martini I've ever seen! Also yes to trips by yourself, especially Disneyland. Meetups are fun, but I love being on my own doing whatever I want (also who else wants to do Bounty Hunting in Batuu for 4 hours straight lol)

I just recently started to go do things on my own and it's so freeing and I am glad I haven't let myself miss out on things I really want to do! More of that in 2024 ✨️

The “just go do it alone” advice is the BEST advice! I travel solo everywhere (including probably a half a dozen Disney trips) and while I don’t always meet people, by my own design, I always have a great time. Things seem to move slower, you have more time to sit and think and enjoy and soak in the vibes if you’re not worried about making sure someone else is having a good time. Plus, it’s a hell of a skill to have, going out in the world alone. My parents are separately empty nesters now and neither of them know how to do things without kids around, or my married friends are like “I can’t go do that fun thing, my spouse is out of town.” Or they end up alone somewhere and feel self conscious. Don’t! Enjoy it!

My son and I were just there on Dec 18-20 after a 10 year absence. We drove from Texas, and it was a beautiful drive. Also, we ate at Carthay Circle Lounge twice - once with a ressie and once as a walkup. The Sparkling Mare and the lettuce wraps were amazing. I also loved the Festival Favorites beer flight and the elote at Cocina Cucamonga in DCA. WDW is still my favorite place, but I did love being back in Disneyland after such a long absence. Wish I didn't live so far from the parks.

I have been fighting against singleism for a long time now. One of the special things about Disneyland is that it does not matter if you go there alone. No one is going to treat you differently there, and it is liberating to be able to do what you want and go where you will. I can’t begin to tell you how many fantastic people I met there and with whom I had wonderful conversations.

OMG that sausage bun is a transplant from Tokyo Disney (or at least the idea is)! The sauce didn’t come with it but I had that in the Jules Verne part of DisneySea and it was my favorite snack.

Too True about just...going for it. If you like it, be confident and do it. You will have fun and maybe you'll meet others, maybe not. But you didn't deny yourself the experience and living and having fun. Life is just too short to be limited by embarrassment . No one else cares, they are too busy living their own lives to see you on your own, living your best life.
