Multi-system diagnostic scanner designed to work with many car brands (Audi, BMW, Ford, Volvo, Volkswagen, Skoda, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Land Rover, Mercedes) providing dealer-level diagnostic features. Have now used the Foxwell unit on the Passat with great success and my Land Rover (bought the VAG software with the unit and then also purchased the LR software). Lodged a couple of support tickets with Foxwell and received prompt and informative responses. The unit is fairly intuitive to use and if required the support is there; of course there is a lot of info on forums. Only using it to maybe 20% of its capability at the moment - there is a lot packed into this unit and the software is updated regularly.

I agree. I have the NT510 also with Land Rover software for my 2001 Discovery 2 and BMW software for my wife's 2011 X5. It works very well.

replace that sd card when you get it. Put some quality card instead, copy/paste files. If the chinese card goes bad the scanner is useless. Other Foxwell scanners cost the same and cover ALL car brands (not just one) however they don't cover all car systems

Hi, mr-fix. Very informative video! I bought the Foxwell NT 510 with the VAG software (updated to latest version). I have a VW Passat CC 2009 2.0L TDI model and unfortunately ran out of diesel (tank empty) recently, and vehicle now not starting (turning over but not starting). I have just put 5L of diesel in the fuel tank (I used a jerry can to fill it). Now, I know that I must now prime the fuel system to get rid of air (I think there is a fuel pump and an auxiliary fuel pump?). The thing is, I don't know how to do this procedure with the Foxwell 510. Can you point me in the right direction please? I contacted Foxwell but they just pointed me to a KZfaq video that shows the priming method when using VCDS laptop software (which I don't have). Thank you.

All sorted pretty quickly - very easy job.to prime both pumps. Also used it to release the EPB and installed new pads. Very impressive unit.

Czekam, aż wpadnie mi na testy urządzenie, które ogarnia wszystkie marki, ale w nieco ograniczonym zakresie. Np. Autel robi urządzenia, które nie robią wiele więcej niż kasowanie błędów z ABS i poduszek we wszystkich markach. Modele AL619, AL629 albo ML619 wyglądają obiecująco.

I've got exactly the same model as this and I can't say I'm impressed, the Chinese English translation is not the best, the oil reset function doesn't work not on a VW crafter anyway, I emailed Foxwell and asked if the VW software would do this and they assured me it would, (paid for the VW software) and then found that it didn't, tried coding injectors on a Landrover defender 2.2, inputted injector numbers and wouldn't store them in the ECU, although this function did work on an older 2.4 model, infrequently struggles to communicate with the vehicle, so 3 out 10 from me, my advice bite the bullet and get an Autel Maxisys...

Very good review Mr Fix. In your opinion are the (long code) adaptations on this similar in functionality to the obdeleven device? For example to add a reversing camera bit change/ change to linear acceleration etc on bag vehicles? Great videos BTW.

Possible but OBDeleven will be faster and easier to do that since it car show you single byte and decompose it to 8 bits.

This depends on your vehicle, not the diagnostic tool that you are using. Look for VCDS/OBDeleven mods.

I have one of these and when I scan my car through the VAG option, I get codes like 00017 00013 00768, where as most codes I find online are not in this format such as “P0017” . Why is it giving me these 000 codes and not VAG codes?

Was looking at this tool review as it was featured as very good tool for BMW's , it is good for some live car diagnostic , codes , live car data ( for DIY not something professional ) and does it have use for wider variety of cars like VAG ? Mostly Ancel AD410 is advised to buy , so wonder if this is better

AD410 is just a basic diagnostic scanner (great one and one of my favorites to be honest) but it will not be as powerful as those BMW dedicated tools. For example you need something like NT510 to regenerate DPF, perform new battery registration, reset airbag codes...

Maybe it's DPF regeneration? You engine can sound different when it starts and ends.

Great information. I am thinking of buying this model. (I think now it's replaced with the NT530 model). Question Please For BMW E90 (2008 335XI): Can this scanner read and check that the alternator is working properly? My battery is not charging all the way and trying to determine if the alternator (or some other component) is not working correctly. Thanks very much. Phil NYC Area

I don't have access to an Audi with CVT to check it, but there's a basic settings option available in the menu when connected to a module.

A very good tool but not alot of imformation out there on how to use this tool properly like how do you code the nitrogen oxide sensor when replaced with a new one no videos or instuction out there even though i know it has this feature.

If I have to guess, I would say that you just need to replace the sensor, then clear the code from the ECU and that's it. No calibration, no adaptation.

Looking at your vehicle add on prices in the video one can see that Foxwell has now charged over $60.00 in just 2 years to add an auto maker....OUCH

This is not a pro dealer obd reader but its enough to turn off standard engine light and give you a code this will not do dpf/abs/immo/odometer/sas

You are mistaken. It will do much more that clearing engine light (as seen at 4:49 ). It scans, reads and clear faults from ALL vag modules, including ABS. Gives access to coding and adaptation of VAG modules. There is DPF regeneration, SAS calibration, EPB release, TB alignment, battery adaptation.

@@mrfixpl It did help me fix my Haldex drive after I changed the fluid I used the relearn function so its not all bad its nice they have the basic and adaptions for control units I also of obd eleven but this unit did a better job at reading codes and changing control units
