In this video I will teach you three simple songs that you can play at your solo acoustic gigs. These are my favorite 3 songs with 2 chords. I will show you how to play the basic chords, strumming patterns and more. I will also show you some basic looping tricks you can use to take them to the next level whether you are a beginner or an experienced player. By the end of this lesson you will have 3 songs (4 if you count the bonus song) under your belt and ready to perform. Enjoy this guitar lesson and performance and looping tips.
Check out my basic looper video if you are new to guitar loops:

Great video as always. I'm a teacher in a NYC middle school, and when you said the word fingering I thought, if I said that in front my students, they would have a field day. lol

You provide comfort and confidence. Also - those Tenn. Whiskey chords can be used for “I’d Rather Go Blind”.

Great job and useful for those at varying levels of skill/experience. Definitely going to check out your looping video. As someone who’s never used pedals before the whole idea of coordinating foot with hands is intimidating.

you can congratulate yourself for the subscriptions friend. Dont thank us. I'm thanking you. ive performed before and looking to start again. your channel is not only full of huge tips and ideas but also encouragement . it feels like genuine support for my personal journey. I play all three songs already but you've added something to all of them got to get on your looper vid . I never really used my looping pedal before. it's quite basic so I questioned it's value in a performance . I can see now I've been wasting time not getting on with it.

Definitely check out the looper video…mine gathered dust for about two years . The overdubbing confused me…now I get it, and it’s totally a game changer!! My first creation was The Joker by Steve Miller. Now it’s The Joker by Greg Myser 😂🤯🥳…putting my twist on it ( I like that better than the overused, “you made it your own” cliche ). Have fun!! Thanks Frank🙏🏻!!

Man… I’m adding Elenor Rigby to this weekend’s setlist. Another 2 chord favorite of mine, good for looping, lead playing over it, and engaging the crowd - Miss You by The Stones.

Great video as usual, I hope you don't mind me pointing out that the bonus song Tennessee Whisky is basically the same as I'd Rather Go Blind which is something I sometimes do in my four or five song interlude set at my local bar in Brazil (my growly bluesy vocal suits it better than Beatles or Fleetwood Mac).

I just wish I could make a few dollars to cover my new strings . Approximately $300 - $400 a year. (12 guitars x once a year) not too big of a goal. I like elixirs, they sound great and last. If you rotate the inventory. 🎉

@FrankPersico Thank you SO much!! I played some guitar decades ago but couldn't afford instruction , got frustrated at my lack of progress and gave it up. But I always felt a big void in my life without being able to play . You have inspired me- although now I'm a senior citizen- to pick up the guitar again. Your clear, inspired instruction makes me feel as though I CAN DO IT!! Who says you can't teach an "old dog" new tricks??!!

thank you man. very much. i’m at that point but not finally or at last i’ve been here for a while. STUCK.. WHY? IDK cause i can sing, i can play, i can sing and play.. aaah. ok. see the ah ha moment. i need more work less play.. 🤔 hmm.. thank you !! though because that connection is important, you know, say maybe in considering our mentors etc.

I wish I could explain quick in comments. I didn’t show it in the video because then the video would have been too long and people would complain lol. Maybe in the future I will try to make a video just in Eleanor rigby and how I play it.

@@FrankPersico thanks mate! You’re one of my favourite KZfaqrs. I’m absolutely stuck in a rut of playing basic barre and open chords. If there was one thing you think I should try to learn so I can improvise up the neck and with octaves what would it be? Should I learn the caged system online course? Thanks for your help
