Your going to have the perfect farm jeep. I live in Alaska and also have a plow on my farm jeep.

I thought that WAS the right tool for the job. Either that or a Leatherman. You weld better than I do, so there's that. Mrs. O never makes fat jokes, either. Bald jokes are another story, though. All the best to you and Mrs. H.

"Don't spray me!" Mrs. Hevyshevy is in a similar boat to my Lovely Bride ... I was 19 when I got married and she is somewhat older. The idea, I believe, was that she get me young in order to train me properly ... and the process has been a SPECTACULAR FAILURE!

Love that!

Great content you all !!! Thank you all !!! If that is an AC welder only, you will have problems with 7018 rod . 7018 is a low hydrogen rod . You should always use a DC welder . I guess you know that by now !!! Lol .. Be careful and God bless you all !!!! Eddy

You gorilla glob better than I do! 7018 has never been my friend unless I'm using DC. That should hold just fine!

We share the same affliction. An affinity for Chevrolet(‘79 El Camino, ‘96 C1500, ‘00 C2500), Willys/Jeep(‘64 wagon, ‘04 LJ), and women that are absolutely the prettiest, smartest, mechanic/plumber/cook/landscaper/PARTNER(!) you’ll ever meet. Now, back to the Willys, those sure look like some old Armstrong Tru-Tracs. Say it ain’t so!

Usually ill go straight to 6011 just for the ease of it. 7018 usually makes cleaner/nicer welds though.

Not that I have twenty years of experience in welding, but wouldn't that weld benefit from a rust-free surface to adhere to? In theory, of course 🙂
