I haven't heard the chalk sound since 2015, when they finally installed white boards in my building. I love chalk but the dust is bad for the desktop computer.

The trick that i use to calculate percentage faster is to find 1% of no. Then multiply the no. we get by the percentage we want to find out!

It’s not a*b = b*a. It’s a/100*b = b/100 * a I only make the distinction because in other videos you randomly select how you look at these things. Also it might confuse your other videos on order of operations if you think about it that way.

For me, I consider 38% as 38 × 10^-2, so, I usually just multiply these : 38 × 10^-2 × 50

I think better is to memorize this method: 16% of 25 = 16 * 25 * 1/100 or (16*25)/100 25 and 100 cancels out and we are left with: 1/4 * 16 = 4 Basically the same principle, but for me personally easier to comprehend. And you can actually scale this to any numbers you'd like.

If you express the percentages as fractions, the solutions will also be obvious: 38%=38/100=19/50 Since we're finding the percentage of 50, answer is therefore 19 (19/50*50/1). 16%=16/100=8/50=4/25. Since we're finding percentage of 25, answer is therefore 4 (4/25*25/1)

There's also another way i think by converting the percentage into 0.38 for 38% and 0.16 for 16% then just multiply them by 50 like 0.38x50 =19 etc

x/100 means x% so x% of y is equals x/100 times y in multiplication the order doesn't matter so we can make y/100 times x

When i can multiply the number to be hundred i devide the percentage with what i multipled. So 2 x 50 = 100 And 38÷2 is 19. 4 x 25 = 100 16 ÷ 4 = 4.
