I’m going to talk specific about one sequence on this brachial plexus protocol, T1w 3D SPACE. We bumped into a few challenges when we tried to optimise this for plexus. A small adjustment made very much improvements. Honestly, it surprised me.

In terms of times, it's a matter of seconds longer. So it's definitely worth the investment. Thoracic Spine was it's initial applications use, but can be adapted to other large FOV imaging such as this and can work well. Great vid 👍

yes for thoracic spine its awesome. savings. its cool seeing its working on other parts as well.

@@oalienyt yes. It’s more common nowadays. Should be already some space in the siemens tree. Well, also depends on software you are using. Scanner.

Yeah, we usually use Space T1 and Stir 3d in brachial plexus exams but I didn't know this kind of b0 shim... I will try it! Could you please share the voxel size you used in this example?

No brother i don't have t1w 3d space in my protocol, we are using MR D13 on 1.5 tesla avanto... Good information thanx

Thanks Bac! may i ask what is your actual most used or standard protocol for the brachial plexus actuall?

Our standard consist of Sag t2 Sag t1 Medic All these for cervical. Then plexus is Cor t1 space Cor t2 stir space T2 Dixon tra Ciss sag optional Dwi optional Gadolinium optional. All in all depends on cases.

Shim is in front of the sequence. Its not included in the sequence time. So you need to trace time manual.

Yes. I was thinking about more of the total time including shim after I read about the absolute.

Depends on scanner and coil. Also software available. Try tmj from the protocol list. Should also work.
