8 is actually very meaningful bc it tells a lot about his background story, what he dealt with, why FV kindda fell apart… the way I see it was 5 was for the ppl, 6 was for the addicts, 7 was internal battle (mostly) everyone deals with) 8 is his struggles with his old management, and 9 is for his son.

I absolutely love Britt's take on faith. She has her personal relationship with the God she knows and loves. Even though I am agnostic, potentially on the road to faith one day, I respect the hell out of her opinion. I also strongly agree with her in that organized religion is very problematic. In my experience, it tends to become divisive very rapidly.

This was so cool to see! I understand completely what Hopsin was saying. We have ALL had questions/doubts. I was raised in a strict Southern Baptist home but I always had questions. Like Britt, I've come to understand that it's all about my personal relationship with GOD. We need to start being more open with young people who question things. If we don't guide them through those questions, the WORLD will do it for us!

This song has always been my go to whenever i have have doubts in life, be it religion and my beliefs, or my relationship with others or whatever life is throwing at me. It reminds me that it is OK to question things. Maybe more than ok. Its necessary. We have reasoning power for a reason. Our existence isn't an accident. We shouldn't just blindly believe what others have been telling us. We just need to be open and be honest with ourselves. Religion keep judging us for our sins, and mankind just keep on sinning. I've loved hopsin for so many year's now... This song right here... THIS SONG RIIIGHT HEREEEEEE! CHILEEEE. HE WENT TF OFFF and even after all this time, it still gives me chills and the end makes me super emotional. Cuz i have always had the same questions and thoughts and" hey that's sounds kinda hypocritical " Hopsin is one of the most passionate, emotional, ridiculously talented lyricists out here and has been for some time. I was really glad y'all really took the time to dive deep into the lyrics and symbolism in this song. I totally felt this way when I was struggling before my deconversion from Christianity and it would be really easy to dismiss the depth of the struggle Hopsin, who I still enjoy listening to, describes in this song, as I have seen other reactors do. Generally, I agree with his point that an all-knowing deity would be well aware of the need to provide evidence for his/her existence to those of us who require it. There was a meme that I have shared before that said, "Christians told me to use my brain. I did and now I am an atheist." Some of us (I cannot give you a percentage) here in the West grew up in religious households and know our bibles and Qurans like the backs of our hands so we generally don't like being preached at, but we will answer genuine questions about our position on the existence of any deity. I appreciate your thoughts and the content. The whole shebang is that some feel they need a religious belief system to do good or satisfy social needs whereas an increasing number of people don't feel that such belief is necessary or relevant to living morally good, which is another thing that the religious and non-religious disagree on ( a whole other conversation). In the end, we just want to improve our situations to the best of our ability and live our lives in as much relative peace as we can find. As a former seminary student, the thing that appealed most to my intellect was reading an interlinear bible for study in both the Greek and Hebrew. That actually helped me realize how much I was being lied to from the pulpit, made me ask serious theological questions and actually drove a wedge between me and Christianity because of so many inconsistencies, errors in translation and historically inaccurate depictions. The bible now, for me is a reference book on the evolution of religious belief throughout antiquity, namely how newer cultures bastardized (pardon the term, but it is the best I could come up with) stories and other elements from previous religions of the surrounding cultures to maintain relevancy in the newer cultures. There are elements of ancient Egyptian, Babylonian, Greek and Roman religion in the Bible that cannot be ignored and demonstrate this very thing extremely well. That's just my take on this matter and I hope that it provides you with insight.

Growing up Christian and eventually adopting an agnostic view as an adult really made this song resonate with me looking back on that change in my life. Hopsin's choice of words and his delivery really drive home how difficult spiritual evolution can be. The level of brutal honesty he demonstrates in many of his song has been inspirational to me for years now. Loved this reaction and the open-minded commentary. You two should collab regularly if you can.

This video might have been the reason the algorithm chose to bring me to Britt a few weeks before I found this video. I'm now just watching this reaction a week or so after I started watching her reactions.

I found that reading the bible from cover to cover, twice, was all it took to make me an atheist. That's when you realise the whole thing was written by a bunch of old men (hundreds of years before or after the events they were writing about) who didn't understand where the sun went at night. Same applies to the Quran and the Torah.
