The reason there are vampires is because this is a cover and the original was on the vampire movie The Lost Boys.

The original is by G TOM MAC written for the movie The Lost Boy's and definitely worth a listen. The movie's absolutely fantastic as well, both iconic late 80's

The vampires come from the original song being used in Lost Boys. This version was used in one of the sequels. All of their albums are awesome different vocalist Tony in later albums great group of guys! Unfortunately not together anymore 😞

I prefer the original which was on the soundtrack to the movie The Lost Boys, The original has a more etheral sound in my opinion.

I love this song the original is brilliant as well the Marilyn Manson version is so good . The vampire element comes from the film lost boys this song was written for the movie.

I enjoy this version very much. I grew up with one of tbe guitar players. He is the one that gets changed from two behind curtains. This song scrams in just the right spots. And they dont start out as vampires. They are being changed in front of you.

Oh, and the vampire are from Lost Boys. This is a covers. Definitely check out some of their other songs. They were signed by Warner brothers. Went on tour with some big bands like Papa Roach, Three Days Grace Etc. (Marilyn Manson did a cover to this song too)

I like this cover, they did a good job. But I gotta say, as a child of the 80's I LOVE the original so much more, not the least because of the nostalgia factor of Lost Boys...and the vocals are just so much more pure on the original track...there is definitely such a thing as too much distortion.

Manson's version is better but the original from the Lost Boys movie is the best. Its performed by Sisters Of Mercy but they didn't write it, if I'm recalling right.
