I recently saw Weezer live opening for Blink 182. I wasn't that familiar with their music, but their set rocked and they really brought it! I've been looking up Weezer songs and have been reading about them since the show. I have to say, I've become fascinated by Rivers Cuomo! He's such an interesting guy. And this song is so sweet. You're forgetting the fact that Rivers was more of a "douche" back then-- he was extremely controlling and uptight during the Pinkerton era (I'm not dissing him or anything, but it's true), and nowadays he just wants to have fun with his music. How can you call someone like that douche? Just because he doesn't want bring himself to dark places and write depressing songs anymore? He poured out his soul once, and people tore him to shreds for it. Be happy he made the album in the first place.
