I was a wonderful to record this beautiful song by one of my favourite singer's Barbra Streisand. I hope will enjoy my recording!
"Evergreen" was written by for the 1976 film "A Star is Born" which starred Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. Barbra Streisand wrote the music and the lyrics were written by Paul Williams. "Evergreen" won The Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Original Song as well as a Grammy for Song of the Year.

Streisand has been my favourite female singer for many decades, I never thought I would hear anybody sing any of her songs as well as her, just found out I was wrong! This girl has a very big future ahead of her with her beautiful voice.

Since originally writing my first comment, I have been listening many times to both this version and Streisand's original trying to figure out which I think is the best for me. By a very narrow margin, I would have to go with Streisand's version. Her voice is just that bit silkier and mellow than Lucy's in my opinion. Having said that, Lucy would surely today outclass Streisand and she can certainly sing beautifully.

I grew up in a household of 9 people. Mom would cook dinner and when finished , she would play Star is Born. her release through a stressful day. The way Lucy sings this song puts chills thru me. so Beautifully done, Your Rock girl

Turned 70 in Dec. No song and singer has evoked the emotion I feel when listening to and watching this beautiful woman sing this beautiful song Evergreen. Perfection. It was my wife's and my wedding song in 1978. Miss Thomas takes me back to our wedding day and through my life with my wife each time I listen. I'm very grateful to Paul Williams and Lucy Thomas.

I held a pizza fundraiser at work and played your songs kind of loud inside the conference room. If someone asks me to turn it down, of course I will, but I want people to hear your voice. Not to my surprise, people came in and huddled around my phone, "who is this?"they were blown away by your absolutely flawless and powerful voice. My favorite singer of all time was Karen Carpenter who had an extremely pure and pleasant voice without all of the flash and pretentious garbage. Lucy is another one of those phenoms who can take you from sadness to peacefulness and warm your heart. Keep up the good work, Lucy and thank you for being such a lady in these male hating times.

Well, Karen Carpenter's voice was much more than just "pleasant" - it was a once-in-a-lifetime vocal instrument that many consider the most beautiful in Pop/Rock history - Lucy has a lovely voice but sings in a different range than Karen, who was a contralto, known for the awesome richness & warmth of her iconic low notes - And Karen, Like Lucy, sang straight up with no frills, which is so very refreshing & delightful - hoping to hear more!

As an older man I lived with Streisand as she sang and developed. I have always felt she was the outstanding female singer of the twentieth century. We are only two decades into this century but Lucy you are heading for that same acclamation for the twenty first century. You are simply exceptional. If someone can watch this and not smile back at Lucy's radiant smile at the end ... then they really should watch it again. Actually that applies to every one of her videos where she smiles. And those where she doesn't too.

hauntingly beautiful. when she softens on "one love" it almost hurts my heart it is so beautiful. on a lighter note thought i was going to have to call 911 for oxygen on that last note. held strong - build a little then the vibrato WOW. she didn't need the oxygen of course but i almost did.

She takes her time and lets each note bloom and blossom. This is so hard to do, to avoid rushing, especially for someone only 19 years old!

she’s like 80 give her a break, she has a husk/hoarseness that I don’t think “vocal exercises” would have prevented IMHO. Long live Barbra Streisand though, I adore her. ❤

@@anthonywilson508 it was IL Divo and you knew that before you bought your tickets unless you’re that uninformed. I saw her as well on that tour and she was on stage MUCH LONGER than 20 minutes! Now you’re totally making shit up just to bash her.

@@jak30341 it was not Il Divo, they were only with Barbra for The American Leg of the tour. The guys we saw with Barbra in the UK were " Barbra's Broadway Boys" The American Leg of the Tour sounds like it was a way more superior experience. And no I was not bashing Barbra and never would! I took my eldest sister who has followed and adored Barbra for many years and has been to several concerts (this was my first time) she and other's were Just a little disappointed by the amount of time Barbra was actually singing.
