Arena matchmaking ignores divisions, it works by points thresholds & there's only 3 matchmaking levels. It's about 4000 points where you get ranked with everyone else above 4000 points, at least on OCE. So you will still be in contenders when you start facing Champs players, which can include top pros(I got owned by Volx in a duo game at 4600~ points who was well over 10k points). I don't know how many points you need to get out of facings open league level player, doesn't really matter as there's no bus fare so you're guaranteed to pass it regardless of skill so long as you play.

I feel like Muselk these past few days ever since Mechs were brought back. I swear they bring out the worst in players even when they are destroyed. Sweaty players all of a sudden man!

The "Hide until there's almost no-one left" strategy is a winning strategy. I do it all the time and have over 150 wins this season LOL. An IO car is the best hiding place in the game right now. You do have to be able to win some 1v1s though.
