I ditched ''stalkers'' on two occasions when I was in Mexico, I was probably just paranoid though, can't be too careful.
@prefix253
@prefix253 4 жыл бұрын
Nah, ur suspicions were probably right, Mexico is an extremely dangerous place. Cartel rules everything, especially the police. Only guns there are in the hands of criminals and the corrupt gov. Some of my family were kidnapped and killed by the cartel while visiting family over in Mexico. It happened to another cousin of mine as well, but luckily she got away (and she can't even report it to Mexican authorities because she'll likely get murdered by cartel hitmen since the cartel runs the government and court, and they know everything that goes down and who's snitching who). Trust me, coming from a Mexican American, watch your back when going down to Mexico, and anywhere in general really.

Prefix グリッチモブ I’m an American living in Mexico. I’ve been here 3 years now and not once have I ever had a problem in Mexico. It’s actually a very beautiful country, very rich of culture and history. So for you to say to watch your back in Mexico seems pretty extreme to me.
@prefix253
@prefix253 4 жыл бұрын
@@hectorgonzalez3011 How is it extreme? It's true. Ofc Mexico is a beautiful country, every country is. Never in my paragraph did I insult the people or culture of Mexico, I'm Mexican myself for crying outloud. My point is that politics and the government over there is corrupted by the cartel, which is a fact. Watch your back when you go anywhere, but based on my experience, Mexico is very dangerous (depending on where you are ofc). My main point of this whole thing is to watch your back, and if you overlooked that, that's your problem, not mine.
@fikonfraktare
@fikonfraktare 4 жыл бұрын
@@hectorgonzalez3011 You shouldn't be scared of going there, I felt perfectly safe most of the time. But there are many towns, neighborhoods and areas you should be very cautious of visiting as an outsider and probably should avoid going to at all. The mexicans I visited in DF was cautious about taxis and certain places. Keeping doors locked when driving etc.

Great knowledge to have. Unfortunately society is CONSTANTLY walking around with their faces in their phones. Most ppl are completely oblivious to their surroundings. Another great video would be always facing the door when in a restaurant. I always face the door to see who is walking in. The faster I can neutralize a threat, the better. I also want to know how many and where the exits are in any establishment I'm in. These simple tips may save your life one day. Cool video Nick.

Dana White Good for you. I'm proud of you being so young and being aware of your surroundings. Keep it up. You NEVER know when something is going to happen. A lot of ppl think it's paranoia but that couldn't be farther from the truth. I've been in several situations where I've had to act fast and I was able to because I was paying attention. I literally saved a woman's life in a restaurant because I was aware of my surroundings. It's good to keep a few things on you everyday. You're 17 so I assume you're in school. Don't carry anything that would get you in trouble. I carry a small flashlight, a Leatherman Juice S2, a knife, chap stick and a small first aid kit EVERYWHERE I go. I try to be prepared. I'm able to legally carry a gun so I always have a gun and extra mags as well. Stay prepared Dana!! Glad you're doing things that make you aware. We need a lot more young ppl like you!!

Start an incident log, think back and put in everything you remember. From here on out, record everything at the time it happens even if you aren't sure it's a real incident. Also get photos of the stalker to add to your incident log because no one is going to believe your word over theirs. I'd use an app that gives a GPS and time (although GPS isn't always accurate) because if you want to fight this you are going to have to build your own case. No one is going to believe you, especially if the predator is smart and slick enough to evade seeming abnormal to anyone but you.

This happened to me so much. One telltale sign is if they walk in front of you but constantly stop right ahead of you to see if you walk past, and then proceed to follow you (stopping just ahead of you again) once you pass them. Someone constantly looking back at you to make sure you are still behind them is another sign. What I usually do is stick to a busy area, walk towards them and make clear eye contact with a glare, and then walk into a store and stay there for a few minutes. They usually leave by this point. If not, I pick up a large hard object like a cement block lying by the road and hold it up while facing them. My strategy is to let them know early on that I am on to them so that they have time to reconsider me as their target. But the trick is you must stay in a well populated area for as long as you suspect you are being followed. Shake them off before going home.

I was out on a short term disability injury from my job a few years ago and the insurance company actually hired a private detective to follow me around. My friends and family thought I was being paranoid when I told them I was being followed, but I had seen him sitting outside my house and up the street for about 2 weeks.. then I busted him. He pulled out from behind a car as I was pulling out my drive, and I told my friend who was with me at the time, that he was behind me. I drove to the town square and made a series of left turns, and on the 3rd turn he knew he had been identified and he sped off. He showed up an hour later outside my studio where I taught dance, and my then husband chased him out of town. Never saw him again.

It's worth noting that - especially in Europe/North America/other '1st world' countries - Dialling your usual emergency services number will still connect you to the local authority. I don't remember if this is based on the phone you're using or the network but whichever it is will most likely have all the common numbers (999, 911, 112, etc) stored and will forward you to the appropriate one even if you dial the wrong number for the country you are in.
@Baigle1
@Baigle1 5 жыл бұрын
they work in teams of two or three in areas where this happens. sometimes they will change their target after one of the team members approach you. if you suspect you are being followed or targeted you can play to their sense of community sympathy or empathy, if you're lucky. do not act like you have anything worth more than a couple bucks on you. they will try to distract you and confuse you or be "too friendly", but you can almost ignore that and focus on dark corners and blind spots as well as the confronter's body language and hand positions. never travel alone, and be ready to switch to fight or flight mode as intimidation can help too.

Some of this doesn't work if you are being followed by a detective. I spotted a man following me in the mall and confirmed by walking out of his field of vision and waited for him to come around the corner. I then passed by him and out the door and into the next store and waited. I had lost him and watched from behind a clothing rack as he called someone on his phone. Four other people joined him in the main corridor and they were looking in all directions and finally dispersed. I knew by the man's body language I was being followed but I did not know it was by multiple people. That surprised me.

Some have mentioned about people looking at their phones all the time; you can use this as well. If you think someone is following you, stop and look at your phone like you got a text or something. But instead, turn the camera on and switch it to the front camera. Hold it up like you're taking a photo but actually you're looking behind you. If the person is in view still, take a pic/ video of them. Perhaps one more time before finding some place safe and calling the cops.

circa 8:00, am surprised you did not spell out "dont go to your house". a lot of this depends on who is following you: mugger (be it 1 or more), gang, psycho, police, government people, etc to this vid, i'll also add, dont make enemies: pay back money that you owe, dont cut people off/give middle finger to people on the road, dont sleep with someone else's wife/husband, etc

This guy is obviously using a Gimbal handheld stabiliser. My guess is he probably just got it and is still excited by the stabilisation and is testing the shots he can get from it judging by the way he moves the camera around. Or he's just an idiot.

This always happens in movies and then the good guy goes behind the corner of an alley way and then when the bad guy stalker walks past he grabs him and says "WHO ARE YOU!!!!! WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME!! WHO DO YOU WORK FOR!!!!" and the bad guy goes "ahh nooo stop!!! I was told to keep an eye on you for *whoever*!!" And then the good guys grabs him and roughed him up some then the stalker guy leaves.

I live in Vegas and was followed one night. The most vulnerable spot is gonna be right outside your house. I didn't realize I was being followed until I got across the street from my house, then when I crossed the street I realized someone was behind me. Long stretches of sidewalk from a main street are bad, you basically just have to check behind you. Carry self defense tools like high powered LED flashlights and pepper spray, if they get close you can have a shocking flight response that they aren't prepared for.

Most stalkers have some sort of prior or current relationship with the person being stalked (consider getting a restraining order with your local judge). I enjoyed watching this video but all it did was help to identify if "one person" is following you. IMO, the best thing to do is to "lose" the stalker or person(s) following you. Sure, you could call 911 and eventually a police officer will show up. However, you'll have to stay put somewhere to meet him to report the "crime" if indeed the crime of stalking can be proved. If you're travelling abroad I would focus on losing the tail with the use of street corners (when the person following you has lost sight...assuming the stalker is following at enough distance) to evade the tail. After rounding a corner duck into a store and lose yourself...the stalker will have no idea where you went. If you're being followed never lead him into a space which illustrates your personal information (your hotel room, apartment, vehicle or P.O. Box...this video suggested a "mail box" as being one of your stopping points.) If you're being followed always stay in the public view and never become isolated (an alleyway, elevator, etc.)

In the words of Henry Kissinger, "Even paranoid people have enemies." So here's another tip. Most people in public places will generally make brief eye contact with you. If you think someone is following you and you try to make eye contact and they try NOT to look at you even for a brief moment...then they are "trying too hard" to not be noticed. Let me give you another example. A uniformed police officer told me he could spot the folks doing something illegal because they would not look at them. In general, when folks see a cop in uniform, they look for a second or two longer or look twice. If a person is trying hard to not look at a cop who is walking along the street or driving in a police cruiser - that's a sign that something isn't kosher.

Good video think reason very few people take notice of surroundings is cos 99% of time you will be safe not to. Just to show how easily someone can know more about you than you do them here’s something that happened to me recent tho no danger but shows how easy it could be to find out about someone. I’ve recently had to move house so don’t know anyone who lives in houses near by. Other morning I was taking my dog a walk and was nearly back home when I passed a friendly old man he asked if I’d got moved in ok. I answered yes and he told me he lives at house a few doors away. I’ve never seen him before so shows how easy it is for someone to watch you without you knowing. Obviously this man doesn’t seem to be a threat or he wouldn’t have spoke but shows how easy it would be for someone to watch and find out about you. I do have habit of using same route often and with it being different area I am learning way round but will start going at least slightly different ways each time I go out, tho beginning bit will be same as there is only one way to go other than dead ends.
