I'd disagree as to how far this is "tropical" house, however i can identify with the struggle to navigate the entanglement of sub-genres that has become the ever expanding make-up of the house genre - reaching well into popular music scene. Continually diffusing as these sub-genres are becoming due to the dialectic nature of evolving music it can be very confusing indeed (and perhaps not that important). Reckoning back to the days of earlier modern house of the late noughties I wouldn't stray further away from a club house classification of this song...
