This makes me wish for more gang customization in the next entry. Be able to use something like the character uploader from 3 and 4 to make your own presets for followers, maybe vehicles. Greasers and mods were opposites. The greasers were called rockers and wore leather and rode bikes, mods wore smarter clothes and rode scooters. They often fought each other

The mod gang confuses me, they're based on a mixture of the British mod and rocker scene more than the American greaser scene, rockers were essentially British greasers who used to drive older British motorcycles and mods used to drive Vespas and other scooters at the time, it is confusing though that mods and rockers would be in a same gang merely known as "the mods" since rockers and mods in the 1960s had a large rivalry and many instances of public brawls . Mods in the 1960s opted for a more modern Italian fashion look meanwhile the rockers like the one in the first concept art you described as greaser were more into the 1950's rockabilly scene. I do however speculate that the gang was conceived because around 2006 Rockstar were working on an unreleased game called "we are the mods" which was a spiritual successor to the warriors game and would've covered the 1960s mod vs rocker scene. So it would make sense that after SR1 came out, and the devs heard about Rockstar making a mod vs rocker game, that they could've given making a gang based on the subcultures a shot. I think that if they made this gang it would've either been a rocker gang like in the first concept art or mods like in the second one. Cause the two subcultures are too different stylistically to be only one gang and so before scrapping they gang they most likely had settled on just making "mods".

Comprehensive and informative video, mrsaintsgodzilla21! Enjoyed the aesthetic of Yuki and Suki's gang. The Morningstar being a male only gang would have been an interesting angle for a mafia traditionalist theme. The Mods/Greasers seem like a British Invasion type of drug smuggling racket. There's a Samuel Jackson flick "Formula51" that has the chemical blasted raver feel of what the Mods may have been cooking. Leaders Of Progression as an entire flock of Tankgirls and Sk8erBoys? The Cowboys might have been interesting if their vehicles had special styling with cowcatcher/bull's horn fenders for improved ramming damage. Secretary Assassins and Mimes as more present minor gangs like the Pirates, Ninja and Pimps from SR2 might add some dangerous life to the streets in the new game.

The mods aren't "greasers" though, they're quite literally based off the British mod gang from the mid 1960s to the early 1970s, so it would seem that faction would be a British orientated gang

A story arc, or even an entire game, based on a civil war within the Third Street Saints sounds like a badass idea. The rival faction of the Saints could team up with the remnants of other destroyed gangs, and the Boss' faction would have to destroy their bases and cut their supply lines. The Cowboy gang would have been cool to see as well.

If I had to choose new gangs I’d say a rival or allied group to the syndicate that want to fight the saints my ideas are the watchers(assassins and spies) , greenbacks( gambling and black market dealers) and the outlaws( drugs and general crime) while having elites with game progression

This is a weird spot to put my theory but since you mentioned a Gat clone, I always speculated that the boss from Saints Row 2 onwards was a clone secretly created by Utor, and the real boss/player actually died in the boat explosion, it wasn't part of Ultor's plan since they saw a chance to capitalize on the Saints ability to dominate an entire city, but their ace in the hole died in Julius's assassination attempt, they went for Dex since he was the only other Saint that must have went took their offer but seems no one as good as the boss which is why they turned to cloning them from the DNA recovered from the boat wreckage, which explains why Gat and Aisha both mentioned at one point that the boss looked a little different, which also explains the change in personality with each game, by the 4th game ultor is basically an advocate to the individual that run the entire USA, maybe Shaundi and Pierce were both replaced with clones too but might mostly seem likely in Shaundi's case but not Pierce, cloning is a popularly mentioned through out the franchise so this could be a plausible theory

Truth be told I would have loved to see/ fight some of these other gangs in the SR universe and I actually enjoyed Saints 4 true yes they went a little crazy on the whole Sci-fi and time travel thing but I enjoyed it. I think they should go back to there roots and I don't mean remastering 1 and 2 I mean like try to get back into the real world like how it was in 1 and 2 with a bit a of humour too see I would have thought a different city but with Dex as the main villain so we can Finilly get back at what he did to the Boss and for the gangs I would have loved to see were the Ninja Bladers (Because it would be like fighting the Ronin again) The Mods (because who Dosent like greasers and 50s retro) The Orian (because why not a sexy group of hot girls trying to kill you) and last but not least I hope they break the three gang rule and make a fourth and that would be the Leaders of progression (Because who wouldn't want a punk rock military Group) and maybe the cowboys too

I liked the military concept for SR-2 way more than Brotherhood just because Brotherhood looked like a bunch of drunkards rather than metal gang

Yeah, I just want a remaster of Saints Row 2. SR2 was like the San Andreas for the PS3. Saints Row 2 was funny because the story took itself relatively seriously, and everyone around you acted like a hardass - including your own character, even though you looked like a member of the Village People. Saints Row 3 and on, not my cup of tea to put it nicely.

I say the old SR4 idea turned into Gat Out Of Hell. An example being at 4:36 looks like the template for the Barrens district from GOH, and Khan later made it into it as well, along with Gat. But just my guess.
