Here's my attempt at explaining Yaya Time. (As someone that has just started trying to learn Korean) Korean has 6 levels of politeness in speech. It's not just honorifics. You use completely different words depending on the age and position of the person you're speaking with. So when Jessi was saying let's talk causally, it put them on the spot. She's 10 yrs older and has been in the industry longer.

Yeah, Yaja Time is when you basically switch 'positions'. The younger ones or the people in lower hierarchies for example at work get to drop the honorifics and talk like they do with friends for example, so you also can get quite direct or even a bit rude, like you maybe would with your buddies. and the others have to still use the polite forms and honorifics. So that’s why Jessi was still happy even throughout Yaja time because the Teezers chose to compliment her and not make fun of her :) They even used her real first Name Hyunju instead of Jessi. And for the Maknae, as hard as it may to believe: it’s our Jongho :) he likes to act a bit serious (also because he is the oldest at home) but ATEEZ still baby him and 'force' him to do aegyo. But Seonghwa, who is the oldest, tends to act really silly and like the fake Maknae haha. Although all of them can be quite unserious which we love them for haha. No boring day when you stan these people 🖤
