shiges choke on jashin is most likely the worst choke in the history of osu so far. he skips gazillion pp breakpoints,gets the pp record AGAIN after having been top player for over a decade, first fc on a map and it being with two mods, the pp record being on a map which has nothing to do with the farm meta. and all the domino effects it could have had,maybe shige had regained more of his motivation,maybe akolibed had not been able to get the pp record since he had to go against THIS monstrous score,maybe mrekk had tried to get pp record harder ,and no one would doubt that shige is THE GOAT

Cookiezi's Jashin score is quite possibly the best choke of all time and without notelock it would've been a ~5miss score where everyone would praise it as one of the best scores in the game instead of one of the best failed runs in the game.

One choke i think is really forgotten this year is mrekk uta dt 1xsb choke(prob becuz theres no replays of it or anywhere posts about it). That wouldve still been 1500 pp ez even with the shitmiss on the last 3 notes.

Chokes are painful we've all been there but they are just a highlight of how the human limit has not been reached yet and probably won't cause this year there has been many 1.4k 1.5k 1.6k all the way up to 2k pp chokes this year just shows how the human limit in osu is still far out of reach

The 1000 dollars is the only thing that could've been more crazy than what worst hr player did on deconstruction star hr. Bro missed on basically the last pattern on a map where he is the only nm fc, with HARDROCK.

shige has no 1k, yet his pontential is beyond human thoughts. yall have no idea how big that gap is, i literally thought about this for 15 minutes knowing that even without dt he has the 1.6k potential with such consistent skills almost no existing players in osu can match. i never thought an HR play worth 1.6k would be possible. this guy lost some attention in this era yet he never fails to blow our minds

yeah, people still underestimate his peak. When he peaks, he's still untouched on the skillsets that he's overwhelmingly good on. And that is his flow aim, but this sh*t had to be at 240bpm. Who the fuck does that in HDHR?

When you put it like that, I have to agree. Which is why in terms of 2nd favorite player, it had to be mrekk for me. Not WhiteCat nor Accolibed would ever. Although, I'm not saying that the other players are bad at everything else, it's just, I feel like shige and mrekk are still unmatched on their skill ceilings that it's absurd considering the level of competition we have today. Accolibed can FC, but there have been multiple runs that made it doable for everyone else especially merami before even wooting was a broken thing for speed players.@@PhoeniX199777

Yeah before even clicking on this video, I already expected both Kegare Naki Yume and Jashin HDHR chokes to be here. I swear to god, these two chokes by him shook the community especially with the Jashin one. He was nearly doing the impossible of skipping 1k, 1.1k, 1.2k, 1.3k, 1.4k, 1.5k, all in one go. That's 6 milestones in just one score alone. Let me remind you, that at the time, the pp record was still MariannE sitting at 1,371pp by mrekk. He was about to go beyond what Accolibed would've done. IT'S NOT DT AS WELL. People don't believe me when I say that he's so far ahead in HDHR, be it flow aim or literally jumps (he was matching WhiteCat on youka to yumeutsutsu ni). He literally played 230bpm version of Chronostasis diff spike, 240bpm Happppy song (by fieryrage) and as well as grievous lady. This was kind of a lackluster year by shige with the less scores he did this year compared to last year, but he might've as well peaked this year and be at his worst abilities in the same year. His grip has been ded after the jashin run and started to lose motivation again. Here's to me hoping he'll find it a bit better to play next year and do more amazing scores.

I feel like Mrekk’s 1400 choke that ended up being 1381 was the worst one because in hindsight it was the last opportunity he had to break the 1400pp barrier in osu. He technically still could since there are only 1500+ plays, but ykwim.
