Been flying the S3 for the past months and mainly use my freestyle setup for filming here in the Philippines. Probably, the BEST set of props I've used as it's so agile and can maintain my aircraft's flight behavior (most of the time) even on strong gusts of wind. Looking forward to more awesome development on these props! #BuhayAerial

Hell yeah S5 is my go-to .. love the top end. And so smooth otherwise... The S3 give me. More flight time by chopping the top end off my quads. But the response on S3 is unmatched.

I run the s5’s on my 4s quad. Just blindly bought the black ones becuase that’s what I wanted months ago. Didn’t do any research...now I know why I like them more than my other props.... they freakin rip

Love the S3 so much. For exactly the reasons you mention. You should have Zhong print the ideal environment envelope on the bags.

Ha ha lol don’t cough on any old people lol. Hey mr Steel it was amazing to fly with you at the Rosedale park a few weeks ago. My girlfriend has the footage of you flying circles around me next to the pavilions. I was flying my Nazgul 5 as you lifted off after a propeller change. I was told after I landed that you were using me as a moving obstacle. For a few moments there she said we were looking Choreographed. Anyway it was amazing to fly with you. Keep up the awesome content. I was flying the S 5 propeller that day just for GP 👍👍👍👍

Mr Steele yes of course!!!! How could I not say high to the Legend!!!! No it was not scary only because I didn’t know it was taking place. You showed up and you started flying you did a power loop under the pavilion I think it was and messed your props or something. You went to adjust or change props. So I took the opportunity to go up. After I landed my girlfriend told me she got the footage of you flying around me and using me basically as an obstacle but like I said I didn’t even know it was taking place thank God I’d have probably been 😬. It was awesome to meet you and all the guys 👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌

Just built my first 5" and its a bit heavy (717g AUW) with 6s 1700kv. I tried a couple of different props, and the S5's are the sweet spot for me.

I just bought a Hawk Pro and really didn't like how it flew. I just flew it with some HQ 5x3x3 V1's for the the first time today. And man, it flies like it's on rails now!

On my light-weight kwad the S3 produces the least noise of all 5" props i've ever used ! Thats important for me cause i've already lost good spots when other people got annoyed from a loud screaming kwad. Now it is my dayly driver.

Really like both the S3 and S4's, also the prop organiser bag is such a simple but really effective way to store your props, I hated having loads of prop bags in my backpack and having to dig through them to find the right direction of prop, I don't have to worry about that anymore.

I run s5’s. Built a CL-1 that’s kinda porky probably could run the s4 or s3 and get away with it but the hero 8 doesn’t help 😂😂 loving the s5’s though I like its juicy feel. Definitely an amp eater at high throttle but if you slow it down just a tad it’s the ultimate flow prop I feel. Like you have that pace that’s not blistering nor slow but it kinda just stands out as one of those epically cinematic speed paces.

Thanks dude. I have a 4s and a 6s. All I use is ethix. I use the lemons on my 4s. It's a heavy bitch, to hear you say weight being a factor made me feel good about my choice. I've always used these props because how fuggin durable. Crash. Bend back repeat.

Would love to hear more about the Ethix K2 and what you made or use em for I’m guessing long range ? Love the S4 on my heavy setup I was only flying v1s but the grip is so much better on the S4

Ya, I have a bunch of S5 I'm flying thru, but I like the S4 for heavy better. I think the tips of the S5 are a bit too flexible, and give me a funky prop vibe at high rpm and high G maneuvers that I can't tune out completely. The S4 seem more solid, and easier to tune. I'm rocking an over 700g auw alien(I think it was 720g. It's been a while....).

Operator FPV I’m at 715-725 auw with most my GoPro hero 5/6/7/8 setups I tried the s4 they are nice heard a few things people didn’t like about s5 wondering if the biblade 6” work for heavy weight while giving a locked in feel but I never personally ran biblade yet on 5-6” only have the experience with micros

@@HellaCopter maybe. Biblades will be slower and a little choppier on hard maneuvers. Especially on 6". It depends mostly on how you fly. If you want to cruise/chase in the sup 40-50mph range, biblades will give you great flight times and no issues. I should clarify. I'm over motored with 2450kv on 5s. I would guess(haven't tried yet) that if I cap my throttle, I could get rid of my S5 prop woes. I would also guess that if I had 2306 or 2308 motors, that would get rid of some of it as well. My 2207 2450kv motors seem a bit under powered. They were very weak on 6" props for freestyle. They do pretty good on 5", so I'm good for now. After some good flight time on this rig, I like it, but I do need to rebuild now that I know what I want, and found one of my esc's isn't up to par. My right yaw and roll is half speed compared to left.... and aio with 4 esc's is super heavy. I like to cruise, but I'm more into pushing the limits at the moment, so I need to build a lighter rig, and hopefully with better motors. My fc+esc is heavy... my rx is heavy(diversity xfire), my vtx is heavy, and my camera is an older CMOS foxeer monster... the only parts I want to keep are maybe the frame(but would love to build on an apex...), the hellgate buzzer, the antennae, and maybe the gps puck.

Thanks Steel, my 6S 2208 1800 778g AUW Badger runs perfect on the S4 (my prop of choice), S3 i have used for slower chase footage works well.

I have s3, but untested. All my quads are heavier then 650g and I use 6s at about 2500kv. Let's hope it flies good. 😬

I use S3 and S4 on 2207 2700kv 4s and prefer S3, because I feel my rigs more precise. I do prefer precision than speed. I am more confortable with S3. S4 are good one also, make my rigs faster but it reacts not same...

Thanks so much for the insanely detailed explanation .. I've decided to try the S3 on my 6S 1700kv 600g 5 inch Diatone F5 Roma instead of the S5 it was shipped with. Will likely throw an S4 into the mix soon, once I get my action cam. (And I was just saying to my daughter that I should start a prop graveyard to remind me to not run into so much shit)

I don’t fly much long range. Butttt. The efficiency of the lower pitch props gives you a lot of cruising time. I can cruise 6-10 minutes depending on the throttle management

i personally feel that the s3 is best for 6s and the s4 is best for 4s. Since you fly 6s you might not have experienced this but the s3 feels really weak on a 4s kwad (im running 2450kv btw)

The S5 has the wrong header text for the ideal flight performance LOL. I fly the 4.3 V1S because it's hard to get Ethix props where i live. Would like to try some tho.

I love the feel of S3, but with my motors (XING 2207) the lower hub thickness (5mm) makes it so they get loose extremely easily and I end up having to tighten them way more that I normally would every time I crash.

Im not sure if I understand your altitude calculations, I live in The Netherlands, a country known for being underwater without prevention ‘dijken’.. but -500ft is -150 meter below sea level? The Netherlands only reaches -7meter(-23feet). Can anyone explain/think with me?

How did you end up going with the S4 props? I really like the S5 on my 680 gram 6S 1750kv rigs and prefer it over the S3. Thinking I should try the S4 props.

I appreciate what you are saying, and i like numbers (although curious how those numbers come about), but I'm not sure Im good enough to tell the difference. I am curious to try out your S3's; here in the Seattle area (100 feet or so above sea level). I feel like consistency for me might be better than a prop change. yes/no?

Can you mention to the manufacturer to create the s3 in 7" or at least 6" platform? maybe call it an s7??? s6??? I would love to try this formula on my 7" builds but the 5" prop doesn't make sense. HQ give us different sizes please! 3" 4" 5"6" 7" Thx

what about if my quad is around 800g AUW? not much i can do to make it lighter. it's a titan XL5 with 2208 1800kv motors. i use a gopro hero 8 with the tpu mount made for gopro 8. is my only choice for best efficiency the s5 for freestyle? i dont race just cruising/freestyle.

Are these better balanced than the 4.3 V1s props i bought a few sets of them a few years ago and they had terrible balance. I really like the cyclone 5040c so I am thinking the s5 might be comparable prop.
