Drum & Bass will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the genre that introduced me to the world of Electronic music and through which I have discovered so many wonderful artists and become part of such a great community. Ultimately it's what got me to create the channel. Genres evolve throughout their lifetime and that is what I tried to capture when I started putting together this compilation. Ten of my favourite 'older' drum & bass tracks are featured in this mix, music that I can always go back to again and again because for me it's timeless. The other 10 tracks are from 'newer' artists who have been part of that change in style over the years. This mix/compilation is about contrasting new and old, hearing drum & bass evolve and how the current artists have borrowed from the past. I present to you Then & Now If this is your introduction to drum & bass I hope you discover a plethora of amazing tracks! Isn't it mind blowing to think that your favourite track EVER could just be waiting for you to find it (or maybe it hasn't even been produced yet :P)? For all the others, I hope you enjoy this mix!

I'm 21. I live in Oregon. I have been subscribed to Sheepy for over 3 years now. I listen to metal, punk, alternative rock, pop, rap, anything but country, etc.. but i always find myself back on one of Sheepy's channels, completely enjoying myself. Ive never considered myself a fan of D&B.. i enjoy it on occasion, but prefer the chillstep and lovetrap. This mix however, is Amazing. I've opened the windows of my bedroom, its like 62 degrees and sunny outside with a cool breeze. I went for a run earlier and now Im about to start chapter 5 of my book. Im writing a novel since i don't know the faintest about producing music. And right now, Life is good. I hope everyone else here is having as good a day as i am. I pray blessing upon anyone who reads this. And to Sheepy, and all the other members of this online community.. Peace :)

Liquids not dying, its just a bit more... insular. Same with any mature genre, the different styles start to break off and have their own communities and scenes. I think DnB has been making a big comeback, overall, its just not all liquid.

I've always distinguished Sheepy's uploads as the really "special" ones that have this above-the-norm quality to them. The kind of music that leaves the mark of this "personal" touch. I never thought it was possible to express that sort of music-to-mind connection and allow other viewers to relive your experiences, but this mix channels it all with sheer excellence. This has got to be easily, easily the best drum and bass I've ever heard. I used to not like it all that much, but I've warmed up to it, and this mix now allows me to look at it under a new light. Respect, man. This is amazing.

Before all of the heartfelt blabbering let me get this out first: YYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD YESS!!!! This was the first thing I saw this morning and I nearly had a heart attack out of happiness!!!!! ...Okay so Sheepy, this made the entire next decade of my life. When I first joined your channel it was WAY early on when you were uploading these tracks, in fact I remember almost every single one of these perfectly. These songs had moved me through the tough, cruel, sad, boring, and infuriating parts of my life since then. To now hear all of these radiantly shining gems combined and posted up in a downloadable mix reminds me of all the things I live for, including the joy and appreciation of an incredible song. Liquid Drum & Bass always makes me feel otherworldly. Hard to explain, but it's just a feeling of relaxation, not easy to obtain. Just flow. Great tracklist, sheepy. I've already found a few new favorites :) Thanks.

Back when I first discovered drum and bass was when I got introduced to MrSuicdeSheeps channel. This was around 3 years ago. During these 3 years I have litened to less and less drum and bass, but this mix completly blew me away! Thanks as always Sheep! :)
