You can get an +15 weapons protection +15 Arrow Protection Amulet in one of the chests of Gomez. Also, Drago, one of the Firemages carries a Ring With +10 weapon protection and more. Just knock him out. Your Total weapons protection value can be as high as 75 without leaving the first Act

I haven't played this game, and I only know about it through brief game reviews and word of mouth. But I gotta say... That's the most hilarious jumping animation I've seen in a game. The PC looks like he's trying to scare off a bear by wildy flailing his arms around.

Yeah. I remember how hard it was the first time when I played it as a kid. I realised back then that the game was quite easy, especially compared to Gothic 2. But dispite having it finished many times back then it was when replaying it last year when I realised how easy the game really was. I was using a similar way as you, just without exploiting bugs, except for the relatively passive AI of the orc shamans. Using Silas axe I cleared the entire wildlife in chapter one whithout beeing part of any faction. A shame the game couldnt be finished without joining a faction. In Gothic 2 it was possible in the main game without the addon (there is a simple mod "Gothic-2 classic" allowing you to play that, without having to uninstall the add on). In the add on this wasnt possible because Lord Hagen wont give you his quest to go to the valley of mines, but there is a bug: you have to transform to a sheep and speak to Lord Hagen (I think it is because the game hecks wether you are part of a faction when you ask him for the quest, but when you are a seep, your faction is mapped to a default value).

How to break Gothic? step 1: casually play gothic. step 2: just wait for things to happen.

I love how "f**k you" started playing when you went for the bloodflies.

After playing the teaser several times (I still don't know why it is increasing in size - at least the Logs files - up to 32 GB!!), watching the related videos, reading reviews / comments and analizing the surveys my conclusion is clear: the teaser is simply "teasing" you with all kind of elements to be considered along the storyline in final game: your pretty decent armor, the sword in the cave (similar to Cayden's or Orry's swords), the snapper you have to kill for Bloodwyn, 100% lockpicking skill, receipes for better stuff, essential trinkets, the bottles and ore you collect and so on. More than that, I think there will be levels of difficulty for everyone (from absolute "rookies" ;) to hardcore gamers who know everything about Gothic world) hence the tips where to climb, what to collect, what crates you've already opened before...Therefore, we should not judge the game through the teaser too harshly, I am sure the producers are struggling to do a pretty good job in order to have a well polished game in the end!

since this is not glitchless, here's how to break gothic 1 with less steps: 1. get +500 ore (in a similar manner as shown on video) 2. get digger's trousers, nek's amulet and supply urself with some healing 3. steal the strength potion in a chest - mentioned in this video next to skip 4. exit old camp and find the nearest two scavengers 5. save now 6. go between the scavengers and get hit repeatedly as you drink the strength potion. you will get +3 strength each time and yet the potion will not disappear (because the animation for drinking is interrupted with being hit and the potion disappears only after the animation is finished playing) 7. do this a couple of times and back away and save for safety (sometimes you'll be able to finish the drinking animation before any of the scavengers manage to hit you, losing the potion) gz. hit up to like 500 strength and u can go 1 hit orcs with your fists.

1）Go to Swamp Camp 2) Visit Swamp Sharks 3) Lure one to the nearby pontoon, where a templar is guarding 4) wait for the Templar to attack the shark and get killed 5) Quickly steal double hander 70 damage+ at level 4 6） Invest all points in strength ( 42 needed for templar sword)

One major bug skipped:You dont have to buy that sword. You go straight to Gomez place and steal all the swords. They beat you up but dont kill and you have no ore to be taken. Then, with skip, you sell, not buy, swords. As for farming xp, you dont kill those scavengers - before going to the old camp, you jump on the mountains to troll place, shrink it with scroll and kill it. Rest of gameplay similar to what this movie shows...

you could've killed all those goblins easy if you took the digger armor from fisk and then take the rings from the big tall tower near gomez. It has tons of chests with rings/amulets.

Wow, this seems much easier than getting the Orc Hammer early, which is what I did on one playthrough. I didn't even feel bad because getting past all the Bloodhounds at a low level was insanely difficult.

An even easier way to farm XP is to get guards to attack you with their bows or crossbows. Then save before they kill you and load your savegame again. After you load, they won't put their bows away but they won't attack you either, which will give you the opportunity to knock them unconcious, collect XP and loot their stuff. Makes the game easy af but also kinda takes the fun out of it.

Have you tried lure the orcs from orc land to the two guards? You can have the guardian sword immediately and its need only 12 strength

Looks similar to my later playthroughs. (I've replayed this game way too much.) Some additional things of note: 1) You don't need ice block to deal with Silas. I personally just shoot him to death with a bow from on top of the nearby bookcase. 2) You can nab a Heavy Crossbow if you K.O. Jackal in the Old Camp. Strong enough to carry you through pretty much the whole game, and excellent at thinning out some of the tougher areas in Chapter 1 (e.g. the Orc Camp).

in gothic 2 classic (without addon) you can get scars sword (now called orc slayer) in the large pyramid halfway to the black troll in chapter 1 the chest has a fairly easy lock too it's the best one handed sword you can get without any guild and is only bested by the very best guild gear in nearly end game also on how to break gothic 1, 2 and 3: just play as mage, you don't even have to try and you're op by mid game it's harder early on except if you skill a bit archery too

If someone has a way to get G2 broken fast, comment here. I saw in a speedrun that some guy uses 2x fire rains near the herold and Ulf the fire novice. Somehow he finished the thiefsguild quest for andre and joined the militia super fast (good armor, fast valley of mines). For me it's not working. So I can make a similar video for G2 🥰

You can actually get Battle sword for free just run into armory in Gomez's place, steal it and run into Gomez's room. The guard will stop chasing, and like this you can steal as many swords as you want.

well the game is broken once you get scar's sword and about 40-50 str. Honestly this video could have been 1 minute :D But still i watched the whole thing. Glad there are people out there who still love Gothic. Cheers mate!

There is no need to buy the guards sword, just run into gomez's castle with the same draw weapon trick, take as many swords as you can and run away. Learn sword fighting, use guards/battle sword to smack down Lares, take his 65dmg one handed axe. Train your strength abit, use his axe to smack down Scar, take his 85dmg one handed sword. You can wield scar's sword at level 5 or 6. Can kill razors, trolls, swampsharks, orcs, everything with it easily.

That editing was amazing! It was both hilarious and enjoyable to watch, I love when you're running away from the goblins and you turn around for a split second to see bunch of them on your tail, great job!!

Gothic is "Perfectly Balanced"

You can get double the xp if you kill the npcs with a bow/crossbow or magic after K.O-ing them

well i usually turned into wolf and got myself beneath orc village for the "revenge steel" quite early. the only down side was nobody would've teach you for 2Handed sword.. then again i could 1 hit everything ^^

You dont have to buy battlesword - simply go to the castle armory and steal it ... they will just knock you down

Tip fpr step 29: You can save in the middle of the enemies and reload. This will reset the enemies and let them do there aggro motion. Run another 10 meters and save load again, enemies will reset and do their aggro motion. This way you can run past them without them moving at all in a super safe way.

gothic 1 was always too easy for the experienced players and this just shows it

In the orc town near the tample gate if u go to the shamans room to the right there is a 2h swords hiden in the prison on a dead man skele with 92 dmg

theres also a +15 armor amulet and strength rings you can find in gomez's treasury

don't do this, if you kill the troll with the shrink ray out side of the quest Diego will not fix the winch and you can't complete the game

I remember there used to be a glitch with the STR ring but it was on the old disk version of gothic. The glitch was that you could equip and re-equip the ring and the STR would stack. Meaning after you got the ring you could get up to 200STR in 10s. Gothic 2 was the same but with a dexterity ring

little late to the oarty, but there is an ore exploit that i found, where when you are knocked down, the enemy takes 50% of your ore, but it doiubles in their inventory, so as long as you are able to take them out eventually you can ahve an infinite amount of ore

Holding [Shift] in inventory moves up to 100 from the stack.

or u can just draw your sword they tell you to put your weapon down meanwhile you can pas throw guards and after that put your weapon down and you are in........ u can go to skip and he won't sell you anything because you are not a guard but u can tell him torus send your and if he won't sell you u will kick his but.Also u can go to torus room and get 5 potions of maximum life +10 and from bartolomeo room u can get 15 weapon and raged amulet and at lvl 3 if u beat the magician of fire from the pentagon he has a ring 10 protection to all and there is 2 str potions 1 in stone chest and 1 in guards room. I usually go at lvl 3 in to the castle because at that lvl you can beat the fire magician and take his ring +10 and the amulet +15 u get in total of 25 without any armor and +50 health, and the str potions i drink after i learn 100 str because 100 str is cap if u dring the str pots u lose 6 str.

You can actually get Scar kinda stuck in the pole next to him and then pepper him with arrows by the table. Same works for Silas when he's in the upper floor if you climb on top of the bookshelf.

I checked this video out because I coincidentally broke the game before. At an early stage of the game, I just beat up people in town for experience. Guards always reacted weirdly to that. In the swamp, a guard jumped off a balcony instead of using the latter because of that, leaving me his sword. I was not supposed to have that sword yet, but it ruined everything. The sword was strong enough to kill almost every enemy on the map, giving me experience I wasn't supposed to get at the moment. As a result, I was able to beat all humans getting all the ore of the colony and leaving most NPCs without weapon

Th best and strongest bug is that u can spam that ring u obtainted from mage, and get like 8282782 str, and kill everything in 1 hit

If you keep saving running past the snappers and load if they kill you it resets their spawns so no need to panick

In Gothic 2 you can avoid getting Hit by anything If you Walk in zigzags using "q" and "e"
