HOTEL REVIEW !! My lucky day when I was invited by Gillian a subscriber to look around her room at the Db San Antonio Hotel + Spa, Qawra, where she is staying in Malta for a week its one of the largest hotels in Malta with over 500 rooms and suites, a variety of restaurants, bars, fitness and Spa facilities in a Moorish style and outdoor pools overlooking the picturesque St. Paul's Bay. The hotel is situated in the northern part of the island of Malta, right in the heart of Qawra, St. Paul's Bay

Thanks to you Steve and Gillian for arranging this visit. Fantastic to see what other hotels are offering in different parts of the island and this one looks a very good standard. The internet is so much better for this rather than in the old days with touched up images or photos taken decades ago. Useful, especially for those of us that regularly stay at other hotels on the island, but might fancy a change.

Just stayed in February, lovely place, great food, clean, modern and very nice staff. The entertainment team are brilliant.

@@EnglishmaninMalta Definitely, it came recommended to me by my mother, who has visited several times and is a huge fan of all things Malta. Hopefully they will have family rooms left when i can get there! Thanks for the great video.

Yes they have many rooms allocated to disabled, someone asked me to check out the entrance, have to keep that in mind next time !

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL & RESORT 🏩 😲. WOW Steve, you've excelled again. As I said before, I wouldn't recognise my SPB now. PROSET MALTA - I'm impressed 👏. Hello Steve, Hotel looks lovely.All inclusive is not for us,we like a choice.We would not benefit from it.We have walked into this hotel before, very nice.❤😊😊👍

Yes, Think you could lose out paying all that money and maybe you are not a big eater or drinker, I am not sure would have to stay to find out if I would enjoy that large amount of people at meal times ?

Just returned from our stay at the San Antonio . Not normally the type we use, prefer boutique smaller hotels. But we couldn’t fault it at all. Restaurants not all open and nor was the infinity pool but overall,enjoyed our stay. Not that expensive and lucky for us we got upgraded to a larger room with two baths and a lounge area. No problem in recommending it to others, especially families.

@@EnglishmaninMalta the timeshare rooms are decorated in the wood same as the family room you went in, infact our room last year was the room opposite to the family room you were in on the 7th floor, we’ve got 3 weeks a year now to use we love it so much x

Last visited Malta in 1987 and stayed up the road in an apartment, it was very quiet back then. Hotel looks great so glad you did this video Steve

@@EnglishmaninMalta yes 👍,i'ts completely finished now,but I do not have a water view 💃,but 2 minuts I'm at water ,😊so I'm busy as I'm applying for a license to rent out short-terms, when I'm not here ,🙏I've got my tax number and VAT number too🙏 ,🕊🕊🕊so i'ts an exciting time ,no I doesn't have a water view,but 2 minuts I sm by the water...🏖.from Copenhagen DK 🇩🇰

Hi Steve. Stayed in that hotel about 5 years ago .Lovely hotel had a great holiday. But the prices has shot up over the years .Would go back again. Weather looks good wish we were there now.Cheers Steve 👍

Hey Steve, you can see now why we stay here year after year ☺️ back again in August for 8th stay at the db. For us it’s also the staff that keep us coming back - made many friends over the years who we keep in touch with and they make us feel like family when we are back in Malta 🥰 Although we stay here all inclusive we don’t let that restrict ourselves to not going out or eating out (still do plenty of that too!) But it’s great for Phoebe and suits our needs as a family. Such a great location too 👍🏼

Yes I can see all that, and I did feel a nice atmosphere and good vibe from the staff, Personally I think eating with so many people would put me off, but certainly seems popular fully booked in april sounds great !! what room did you stay ? that fold up bed looked a good feature of the rooms

@@EnglishmaninMalta we tend to eat on the specialty restaurants (there is Chinese, Indian, Brazilian/Mexican, Italian and Maltese). These are booking only so not as busy as the main buffet restaurant. We tend to only eat at the buffet restaurant for breakfast and sometimes lunch. The food is of very good quality in all restaurants though. We usually stay in a superior family room. The deluxe rooms look nice but couldn’t justify the cost for basically just sleeping in there 😂

Lovely hotel....i stayed there before it went 'all inclusive only' ...big mistake on their part i think...but that was a few years ago...maybe they changed... i'm watching now x
