I honestly think that Tanis was the best of the Scooby-Doo mummies because she was cute and actually played a role in saving Scooby-Doo in the ghoul school movie.

I would definitely say that the Thep Khufan, the race of mummy-like aliens from Ben 10, and by extension Snare-oh, are my favorite mummies in fiction. The design, the sound effects and the powers all hit really well for me

They didn't have mummy in the name but Spitit of the Pharoah was clearly a mummy you even had to open all sarcophagus to summon. Further he had two servents who were also mummies even though they didn't have it in their name. Mummies Alive was my jam before it dissapeared into the either. the Monsters cereal segment was super nostalgic to me. Those were my favorite cereals as a kid. I used to get the biggest bowl I could find, mix them up with Lucky Charms and watch cartoons. my dad was PISSED . he stopped buying them when we were in middle school. then they stopped making them ): I loved Yummy Mummy when they remade it last decade.

8:14 Odd that 3 out of the 4 Yugioh mummies here have flip effect related effects. I can even think of another classic yugioh mummy, Des Lacooda, that matches this theme. Was Konami trying to make an archetype out of these where you have them all face down, shuffle them with wandering mummy and then the flips happen randomly? Heck that idea might have evolved into the Ghostricks later on, who pretty much have the same flipping gimmick. As mentioned, THEY EVEN STILL HAVE A MUMMY! 16:23 How about Creature of the Black Legume? A peanut butter cereal that turns the milk black. I know there are other legumes, peanuts just make the most sense for a cereal. 34:21 Ah man Snare-Oh (Ben's name for the transformation later) would have been great for the list, one of my favorite underrated aliens in that series. Shame you never really watched it but I appreciate the shout out. I also love that the entirety of what I call the "holy monster collector trinity" made the list. This being Pokemon, Digimon and Yugioh. It is little weird to think Yugioh got the loosest spot of the three on the list given its Egyptian theming but I can't disagree. I love the Ghostrick Archetype, but no matter how fun it is, they can't boost up Ghostrick Mummy or any of the other Yugioh Mummies any higher for this list. Mummymon is easily the most interesting of the three.

Umm..the first movie said he was..they recognized that the punishment bestowed on him was actually a ritual of power that stripped his humanity and made him an immortal God so he could never rest in peace with the woman he loved. It was the ultimate punishment for someone like him since he wanted to be with her more than anything, not be a super powerful guardian spirit. That's also why he was chosen in the second movie. The cult that wanted to defeat the Scorpion King to take over the world knew they would need to defeat the supernatural warrior in battle and realized Imhotep was the only being powerful enough to stand a chance..not realizing he would be stripped of his powers once the fight started. Just like in a video game, he had cheat codes initiated on him. The scorpion boss' level however was like: "No Cheating!" however.

General Mills really missed the mark by not going with "Yummy Cinnimummy". Also, return the slaaaaaaaaaaab...

Mummymon, or at least the one from 02 that you discuss, is more than that. He's also part human, being created using data from Oikawa, and PART VAMPIRE since Oikawa was possessed by Myotismon. It also means Arukenimon was his sister which makes his constant flirting reeeeeally uncomfortable (and her flirting with Oikawa since he was technically their father)

Missed oppertunity to mention Exodia when talking about the mummy yugioh cards. While wearing armor instead of bandages and not (usually) being explicitly undead, I feel like he's mummy-like enough to deserve a shoutout.
