Stevie Nicks is the original queen. You may know about Taylor Swift writing songs about her exes but decades before that Stevie made her ex play guitar and sing backing vocals on songs about how much of an asshole he was. She's also the only female to ever be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once for Fleetwood Mac and another time for her solo career.

This is the song of being on the edge of falling apart and holding on with every last drop of your will, hoping they will too. The Chain is the bond, the tie that binds, the connection that makes us us. For the band when they wrote the song they were in the midst of some shit and weren't on speaking terms with each other, but they were all trying their best to stick together. So you get this song that they all are a part of. The verses state the problems, the choruses call everyone on their shit, and the change up to the outro is like a prayer contrasted with the recognition that that living on the downlow is still going to happen, hopefully less often. (Chain, keep us together) Run in the shadow (Chain, keep us together) Runnin' in the shadow (Chain, keep us together) Runnin' in the shadow (Chain, keep us together) Run in the shadow (Chain, keep us together) Run in the shadow

That bass riff for the latter part of the song is one of my favorite parts. If I owned a bass guitar, that would be the number one bass riff that I would play endlessly, it's that good. Hope your arm is feeling better, dude.

You know those Facebook quizzes that say if you could meet 3 people living or dead? Yeah, Mr. Video is on my list. How much fun would it be to hang with someone who loves music and life as much as this guy?!?

This is in my top 5 of all time, all their passion and anger and creativity culminated in this perfect song, relationships falling apart while cementing the group and album and this song in particular in Rock history as one of the greatest of all time.

The sound board that this album was recorded through was bought by Dave Grohl, the drummer for Nirvana/singer for Foo Fighters. He now has it in his house and converted his garage into a studio. Here is a wiki link where you can see all the albums and artists that recorded on that board. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_City_Studios

This album was created on alot of emotional turmoil and anger. Almost did not get finished. They were emotionally exhausted and heartbroken 💔 upon its completion. That's why the entire album is so emotional and raw. All true stories with band mates in the lyrics.
