I have realized I meet all of the "requirements" for you to recommend this phone. I've had it since launch and I love it more than anything. Never going back to a regular phone!

I am a note user for the past 4 or 5 years, and I have zero desire to upgrade to a folding phone. Why would I want to carry my pen, when I can keep the phone I have that has a built in pen.. Plus all the other cons you talked about, my camera is very important to me. I think Samsung needs to rethink their decisions, and either make the s series ultra with built in pen or keep the note series for those of us that don't want to buy a folding phone.

As a note user, having the pen *in* the phone or on the case is an extremely important feature. I have several extra pens because I've used these phones since the note 1 and there's really no replacement for having it on the device. I have a Samsung tab s6 and went out of my way to buy a case that would hold my s-pen securely. Plus, making the s-pen a separate item just makes them feel more like apple with their pencil. If it doesn't come with it, I know they didn't really design it with the pen in mind.

I have an old Samsung phone (Samsung galaxyx10) and I can use the option "open in pop up view" or "open in split screen view." Pop Up View:- -Allows the user to open many apps at the same time. -The apps will appear at any part of the screen (any part you choose.) -You can adjust the the size, and it's good for multitasking. Split Screen View:- -Allows the user to open (2) apps at the same time. -The Apps will appear at the top and bottom of the screen. -You can multitask comfortably. An old phone like SamsungGalaxyx10 definitely can't compare to the Galaxy Z fold 3 at all, but it's cool to see how much Samsing improved when it comes to multitasking.

My Compliments on the way you present and your accent is really amazing! I am one of the ones who fits all the requirements you have listed for the FOLD 3. I will use it in conjunction with my NOTE 20 as that has now become my daily driver to use on the go. The Fold will be kept in a separate sleeve and treated most delicately as I cannot afford for it to fall if someone bumps into me or while I am doing something the phone simply falls down. .. The fold makes every other standard phone pale in comparison when one looks at that gorgeous main display. I read books, comics magazines, watch lots of youtube .... I do not envisage using it while walking but will use it when I am sitting down at a spot where no one can inconveniently bump into me and cause major damage to the phone!

When I went in to look at a fold 3, I was thinking the same thing; "why didn't they just take the note and model it into a folding tablet/phone hybrid?," which seems to be the direction they want to go with the fold; it just makes sense. I would honestly be interested if they made the fold a little bigger to make it feel more like a tablet and still be able to use it while folded without sacrificing screen space (my wife thinks I'm crazy 😁). With the price tag, I think I'm going to wait to see what direction they go with the fold 4.

The camera is much better than you think, and it keeps up with the s21 ultra pretty well thanks to software. The size when folded is not an issue it makes it feel planted in your hand when out and about

I will wait for the z fold 4 when when they beef up the front display. Still a massive improvement from the first one but if they just made it a little wider and upped the resolution to 1080p they got a winner, if they can get rid of the ridge in the middle it would be the best phone on the market but that may be a couple years from now. Glad to finally see some good practical innovation.

That "I'm a growing lad" made me realize how much Arun has grown from when I first started watching him. I remember when he did his first draw my life video, it was so janky compared to the unbelievable production he has going on now. I just purchased an unlocked z fold 3 from best buy since I do lyft for a living and I gotta say. This phone is as close to perfection than anything I've ever experienced. It knows what it is and what it's functions are designed for. Folded, it is an excellent size for one-handed use. It's size is so functional, that all my accessories in my car that I used on my old note 20 are all still compatible with this phone when closed. Even using Samsung pay is much easier with this phone folded than any previous Samsung I've ever owned. Open, watching KZfaq, Netflix and funimation in my car or in bed is much better than any other tablet I've ever owned. Sure it's smaller, but the definition more than makes up for it. Not to mention two handed typing for long messages or comments feels better than anything else I've experienced. On that note, one handed swipe typing on the closed screen feels like the perfect flip side of the same coin. But I have to agree with this video though. When Samsung said they were not releasing a note this year, and that this phone would have s-pen support, that would be the reason I would upgrade to the Fold class from the Note class. I wish they just combined the 2 phones and declare GAME OVER for the future throne for the king of foldables. I have a Fold Edition S-Pen with a case that has a slot for it, but I agree that this phone would be perfect if it just came with a Note style pen built in. A great sign of perfection is being able to stand the phone on its own by slightly folding it, using the Fold screen and back facing camera to capture the perfect picture, and using the S-pen to take a picture remotely.

constructive criticism implies problems that have clear solutions. your complaints about 4mp under screen camera or fitting an s pen inside an already crammed phone then a complaint about battery life? this is literally the most cutting edge technology in under display cameras inside a folding oled screen with enough sturdiness for stylus input with a decrease in price. unless you can backup your complaints with a realistic solution, this is all just fluff. it’s like listening to someone complain about a breakthrough innovation of a 12k tv complaining it’s not a 20k display. all this presented under the label of ‘constructive criticism’ and let’s not even mention the clickbait title. gimme a break.

Here’s the thing. I usually watch review video to get the things I want to know. And after that, I closed the video whether the video has ended or not. But you make the video so fun to watch (with the animation, the humor, the taglines, etc) that I watch it entirely. That’s what make your channel special and unique. Keep it up!

I know it's been a year since this video, but I have to correct the battery issue, My fold3 lasts all day with heavy use, and I've gotten almost 2 days with low to moderate use. It is a smaller battery, BUT the battery optimization software is really powerful and it tunes itself to the user. Unfortunately this does leave an issue where the first week or two of usage the battery is pretty bad since the software is learning how you use the phone, but since it optimizes for each user it means much better battery life for the average user.

Tech bloggers really don't get the fact that lessons have to be learned the hard way, in the field, and improved over time.

I'm watching this on my Z Fold 3. I just wish: the stylus was built-in, it folded the short way instead of the long way for an aspect ratio of a normal phone and the battery was bigger. But I LOVE this phone and I hope this is a permanent line of Galaxy products.

The hinge not being more dust resistant is my biggest concern.

While some of the criticism are warranted, you have to think about the actual product. The spen has to have a spring inside which prevents damage to the softer screen. As such, the spen has to be of a certain size. It cannot be of a note sized spen. If this is the case then there is no way in hell, engineers can fit the pen into the phone ala note style. Plus you want a bigger battery onto of having a huge spen that can be inserted into the phone. Logistically it's just not possible. It's not just an extra 3g. Ideally yes, bigger battery and spen that lives inside, but that would mean a thicker phone, and even thicker when you fold it. Win some lose some

I hate that they are getting rid of the note. I have my first note the 20. I love it so much. I'm sad that they are discontinuing it and not giving us a new phone with a pen that hids like the note does. I love the notebook fold name lol.

Always wanted to get a folding device and after the Samsung reveal a few hours ago, I was ready to get on board but you have such valid points. I wanted a folding device because it was so cool but I don’t really know how to justify the cost if productivity with won’t proportionately increase. Thanks for this insightful review! What I love about Arun is that he's relatable both as a consumer and manufacturer , instead of roasting and complaining he gives suggestions that too in crystal clear words.

I love my ZFold3. Basically I loved my 2 Gen Fold but the water resistance thing alone was hard to pass up. The cameras don't bother me really. I am that consumer you said was "looking for the biggest screen possible" no doubt lol. It's just quirky and different enough that I love it. I still love my Note series phones for sure but I'm super excited for the future of Foldable phones.

Camera is not really a dealbreaker because its still a very good one only drawback is battery and s pen and the fact its not dust proof

Yes I completely agree that the missing integrated S-pen was the thing actually made me not purchase the Z fold 3. Was really looking forward to replace my latest Note but will not keep it until I find a suitable replacement since the S-pen is a very important feature for me that I use a lot. The option to go with the separate S-pen and case for the Z fold 3 is not an option for me.

It brought back the space saver, the way fliptops did, but it forgot the phone access function, the back still needed a quick small screen if low res, for video call or just phone calls, still has that pinch issue, dark videos watch, its noticeable, because the middle back isn't hallow, has a split instead, but the biggest issue with a big screens, not bringing back the Thumb-pad Mousing, like a BlackBerry, on the side, as pill shape alternative to the hard press power button. Revolutionizing the use of ONE HAND.

I hope these come down in price eventually. Foldables really appeal to me, I'm a bit of a power user. I like multitasking, especially photo and video editing on the fly when I can't access my PC. If these ever come down in price, the versatility of these would definitely have me buying one. No more having to carry a tablet or laptop with me when I plan to record videos or take photos? Count me in! The Honor foldable is really nice looking imo.

Rocking this phone for 2.5 years now. Battery life, easy 2 days. Being productive on it, is great. Camera is a bit worse, true. I even do 2 days, with only charging to 85%, so I'm unsure where you get ir from it can't last on a full screen. Did you tried it out?

I still think that these Samsung Foldables are targeting "0n-The-Go" Business People where cameras are a secondary thought and where carrying an S-Pen 'in their shirt pocket' is, definitely, 'not' a problem.
