Nishant Patnaik I completely agree with you on that, couldn't be more correct and at point! As per the reference that goes these days, MS Dhoni is truly the dark knight of Indian cricket. I truly believe he is one of the greatest captains in the history of the game, a gem in all aspects of captaincy, in terms of backing players, showing character, has heart of a leader, truly solid and graceful man material, has mind of a shrewd tactician with ability to go unorthodox in a whisker, to produce game changing scenarios,a master observer, a wise modern monk, and a lot more. And the most important and underrated talent groomer and developer of a sport side ever. Politics,having favourites ..well that's ok, he s human after all, the way he s been mocked way too much for that is not at all just, for that, politics at a minimal level existed with every captain and also exists around for leaders in other non-sports organizations, in the corporate for example! Nobody really reflects on this solid side that he has built today, a unit that also has tremendous bench strength at par with active playing eleven of many world class teams. Saurav ganguly must have created a wonderful Indian side for sure, but dhoni created an Indian side which is the best in the world currently, with perfect strength and lot of variety in batting and bowling. I would go on to say he is THE greatest captain in Indian cricket history, and one of the greatest of all time. He deserves as much respect as the Sachins and Dravids of Indian cricket, especially at least now that the poor underrated gem has retired!
