I've never heard of this artist before, in fact I was scrolling through youtube and came across her brother for the first time. i then started listening to some of his lectures witch i thought where great. Then someone mentioned he had a sister that is a hot artist in the Uk called Ms Dynamite. Well l think she's a very talented lady i think her songs are great.her music is much needed here in America especially Atlanta. Great lyrics, love the music.

Here in 2021 nearly 2022 and this song still slaps. It hits different now I'm older. Ms Dynamite was ahead of the time with her music - she was political and promoted female independence and self-worth. Now Akala is doing great work spreading awareness through his music. It would seem he has always been wise considering he is the brother she's referring to in this.

This song haunted me when my (elder) brother was still alive. I kept on strumming 'Brother, I love you'... he was an alcoholic... I never managed to reach him in life except to get him into hospital to die sober on a liver ward. I just wish your song could have broken through addiction but it wasn't strong enough this lifetime around. Next time...
