As a chef in a professional kitchen, I just want to note that I loved that the fire alarms are going off and no one moves to vacate. It’s 100% accurate - until we receive word that there is actually a fire, everyone keeps working lmao. I loved that a fellow chef getting punched was the “absolutely not” breaking point.

He probably has never worked in a restaurant/warehouse/other big stores. Those signs are there as part of the business workplace injury prevention plan in order to reduce Worker's Comp claims

The train that was seen by Kamala is a very important indication to the India-Pakistan partition. There were trains running between India and Pakistan that transported hundreds of thousands of people. Whole villages had moved and the trains were jam packed to the point where people sat on the roof of the train. As a result families were broken apart. Parents lost their children, leaving them stranded, nowhere to go. Hindus residing in modern day Pakistan needed to go to modern day India via the train and Muslims residing in modern day India needed to go to modern day Pakistan. This is very heartbreaking and makes me want to give out my love to the people who lost their family.❤️❤️

Honestly tho the fact that the Ten Rings symbol was just RIGHT THERE and the Bangle being occupied by a blue hand which is probably a Kree user, it’s absolutely mind blown

yeah the episode really started on a high note when it comes to the overall MCU lore. But having that rush early on made the first half of the episode a bit underwhelming when they inevitably focused more on the show's plot. It would have been wiser to have it midway through but that's just being nitpicky. Overall I really liked the episode

7:50 Ajnabi = foreigner but "Majnoun" is tricky to translate because the most common meaning is a "crazy person" but the word is rooted from the word "djhin" so we can also translate it into "a person possessed by the djhin"

according to the mythology the djinn aren’t necessarily demons there are good djinns and there are bad djinns but their limitations prevent them from hurting humans i think that’s why they seemed weak.

Jasmine Joyan pointed out on Twitter that on top of Kamala being linked to a Djinn having orientalist connotations, Djinn are made of smokeless fire. This goes against Najma calling them “noor” (meaning light). Not to mention the fact that Kamala’s mom & grandma seem to age normally. Long story short, Najma is gaslighting Kamala. Bruno was right to question those claims, & I think be research he does will shine a light on the inconsistencies.

I'm really enjoying this series. Kamala is a great lead character. The story has a fresh feel to it. They are really crushing the cultural depiction of a modern Muslim family. Fantastic.

Former restaurant manager here. I just want to enlighten about the sign on the cooler. That is 100% something you might see a rest. mgr put on a sign on their cooler. Walk in coolers are notorious for not maintaining temperature, especially if not kept in good repair. Or if the door is broken and doesn't shut properly- also very common since it's heavily used. So just wanted to say, this sign doesn't allude to anything, it's actually great set decor because it's accurate.

So when Kamala first puts on the band in EP1, the part that expands is covered in a design, but when Ayesha put it on in this EP, there is no design when the part pops out. I think that Kamala has both bands and that they combine into one and the design showed that. Thoughts?

I think the Noor dimension is more similar to Ta Lo than the duat and ancestral plane: different dimensions but not the type where the dead goes to.

In Islamic belief The angels are made up of noor(light), so may be they are relating djinn to light....but in real djinn are not noor but fire

Not gonna lie I took the blue skin of the arm to be a hint of them being Djinn since it's got another name for being a Genie and Genies from what we have seen before have been blue especially the ones from Disney. But maybe not?

i find it interesting that we learn that Gorr the God Butcher is gaining power from the Shadow Dimension and draining our universe of color, where the Noor Light dimension seems to produce many colors through hard light in our dimension.

In my experience, the sign on the walk-in fridge is there because it's where we go to cry- usually due to rage, or ride out panic attacks ( a quick change of temperature can really help)

I think the Ten Rings may still be Makluan, and the rings of Fing Fang Foom. They could do a twist on the Nega Bands. Instead of the Kree creating the Nega Bands to replicate the Quantum Bands, the Kree created the Nega Bands to try and replicate the Ten Rings. It was so advanced they couldn't replicated it perfectly, so the Nega Bands ended up slightly less powerful than the Ten Rings. Maybe The Marvel's expands on where the other band is and where they come from, hinting at Where the Ten Rings really came from and how Foom lost them to the Kree.

I feel like the Clandestines’ weaponry work like how the bangles work, through imaginary thoughts and ideas. They do imply this is sourced in the same Noor dimension, which the bangles can take you. While Kamala imagines herself having extensive limbs and protective barriers that look all sparkly, the Clandestines would just imagine their convenient wardrobe accessories as tools in combat (like I’m sure some people would definitely imagine the belt becoming something more deadly and can catch you from longer distances). Regardless, I’d say they make their powers from creativity and wish-fulfillment.

In episode 1 at 12:22 KK and mom walk past a mural with SIX rings that look like the TEN rings, but there's only 6. At 3:37 in episode 3 Aisha puts on the bangle and it expands to SEVEN distinct segments, four raised and three lowered. I'm betting that there's a connection. What do you peeps think? Theories?

They actually have a smaller chance of getting kamala/ the bangle if they lose to the DODC. Lol the DODC off-screened the one that broke the floor with a regular punch and broke a wall with his weapon, and then they took them away by arm with little resistance. Even if they have some power they haven't shown yet, that was definitely lame.
