If you all want to read a couple of good books then get "Neighborhood Under Siege" by Calvin Klein Bacote, "Ethylene" by Lou Black; the book talks about why "Big L" got touched and the " NFL Crew", and "The Brian Glaze Gibbs Story" by Brian "Glaze" Gibbs. Im speaking about a small window of time in a particular area (ny/nj). 85 through 89, i watched my area change. There was so much money being made, violent crime slowed down. The dudes that used to rob, started selling drugs or just living off the land. You ask somebody for 50 or 100 dollars and get it easy. Dudes used to park their cars, turn the music up and we would just socialize and chill, no fear of stick ups because it was all good. But like i said im talking about my own experiemce. I watched things slow down drastically in 1990 and the crime rate started climbing again. Even when we're talking about Po. Look at the timeline when he caught the bodies. The movie American Made is one you should watch. It shows you how the C.I.A pulled out suddenly. That move had a big effect on things in the hood

The crack era was definitely a plan for us to eliminate ourselves but like i said I remember at time while in the midst of destroying our own, enough money was made to delude some of us into a space where it appeared to be all good but even that was part of the plan and the aftermath took the crime and violence to another level
