So, We loved our time onboard the MSC Virtuosa back in the summer and knew we would love to sail on her again someday. We didn't know at the time it would be so soon!
So after years of wanting to visit some European Christmas Markets when we saw that the beautiful Virtuosa was sailing there again it was the perfect match for us, and we would have the best of both worlds.
In this series, there is going to be a mixture of ship content, destination content with Christmas markets, and plenty of food reviews 😁. We hope you enjoy

So this happened. I booked this ship for 17th March. We have never taken a cruise before. We found you on YT and we love watching your travel vlogs. You helped us decide to go for it. At home, we would normally settle at 6pm with a cooked meal and something to watch on Netflix/Amazon etc...but no! You two are our go-to viewing whilst eating dinner. Your video's are so informative and very entertaining and extremely useful in eradicating obvious travel stresses. My good lady said to me during one of your videos, "It's good of them to give up their time to make these videos whilst on their holiday". I have to agree. Thank you Kev and Stacey for what you do. You are invaluable to travel vlogging and we look forward to many more of your videos in the future. Much love and respect to you both!

So happy to watch this cruise, hope you have a great time getting to see the Christmas markets, my dream. Just went to a local craft show that it literally rained all day. It’s in a catholic school and all the rooms have different themes, food, cloth themes, antiques, etc and they have two large rooms that each have more up on their stages. It’s usually packed but I’d guess only about 1/3 the people, I heard a few sellers say that a lot of people came to the early opening Friday evening to beat the rain and some sellers were almost sold out. I bought more this time than I ever have. It’s a 3 day show that has the best tamales and they were the best ever this time.

hey you two. We were on this same cruise the week before, nd they were just finishing the chocolate Santa and display. Had a great time t the Hamburg Christmas market, drank far too much mulled wine - but the weather was freezing lol. We could not fault MSC Virtuosa or crew - totally amazing. Hi Kev and Stacey. I've only started watching your vlogs recently since you did your IONA Videos. Kev mentioned about an app/website to be able to track the wereabouts of where ships are or whats in port, Marine Traffic is a good one to check out. Also if you want to see when a specific cruise ship is due in Southampton the VTS Southampton website is worth a look, as is the Cruisemapper website. As a local to Southampton I am lucky enough to be able to get to see and hear a lot of the Cruise ships when they are in port.

Hi hope you have a brilliant time We don't drink alcohol so the package isn't worth it for us personally but if you like a few cocktails etc whilst away then probably worth getting it. But prebook it before going as its cheaper 😀

We didn't have the wifi we just used our data when we got off the ship. Driving is going to be easiest with a 2 year old. I think its 3 or 4 different trains and a coach takes forever. At least if you drive you can stop when ever you need and it might be less stressful. We have a steady drive down and takes about 4 hours with a stop

Hi thanks and yes the waterparks are still open. Just check your daily planner sheet when on board and it will tell you. Think it opened about 10 for a few hours till about 1 then reopened in the afternoon. Think it was even longer on a seaday 😁

Another great Video. We love all of your videos and will be on Virtuosa around the Norweigan Fjords in September. We dont drink alcohol and havnt purchased a drinks package. We wernt aware that you could take cans of Coke onto MSC. Have you ever been stopped or prevented from taking cans of coke onboard?

We have just done a 3 day cruise on Virtuosa first time on MSC with 6500 passengers and it felt so over crowded. Our dining was at 8.30 pm and the restaurant was so loud. Unbelievable loud

Great video 🙂 I'm off on the 24th march with my dad ( mum recently passed away) so going with dad as a little pick me up - a few questions. - What is the formal night like - do you have to dress up in cocktail dresses and suits. - Can I take my latte sachets with me in my luggage ( I didn't get the drinks package) - Do you think I can ask the speciality restaurants to box up my leftovers ( can't eat all my meal's) So excited to go on my first ever cruise

First off sorry to hear about the loss of your mum. As for Gala evening we have 2 videos from that night on the Virtuosa that will tell you more about it. Also taking the latte sachets should be fine there Is a kettle in the room and hot water at the buffet. As for them boxing the food up we don't know so best off just asking them when there. Hope you and your dad have a well needed rest and a lovely time together

Hi thanks and we have always got on a little bit earlier but the ship wasn't full so I think it depends. We have never tried ringing them to change it so not sure on that one but you could try if you want earlier

I always go to the dining room on embarkation for lunch . I have never had an issue changing my dinner time and got it confirmed there and then. We have done 6 cruises on msc now but we have got bored with the virtuosa now time to change class of ship

Hi Steve and we didn't have the drinks package, it is alot cheaper to prebook before you go but you can also buy it on board if you want although it works out more expensive

Love your videos. I am planning a cruise trip from Barcelona, Cannes, to Rome. I would like to take MSC Europa if it would cover three cities. I know MSC Seaview would cover the three cities. I prefer a newer ship like Europa. Do you have some advice? Thanks a lot!

The seaview is a great ship as well. The europa looks amazing, im not sure what exact route its doing when it comes to the med. The best thing to remember is don't compare it to other companies as you are paying alot less but still getting a great experience on great ships

Hi. I am a newbie on MSC Virtuosa and your videos helped a lot in all the planning and clearing our doubts. I had another question though. Can we book the shows as soon as we get on the ship? Plus our ship is sailing at 6 pm. So will we be able to have snacks or small meals before dinner as we are a big group with kids. Thanks in advance

Hi we could book the shows but only for the show that was on that night. We weren't able to book shows for the whole week on embarkation day. Also the buffet will be open so you could go there for snacks. Have a great time when you go

Hi the free WiFi is only available to use for the MSC app , if u want to use it for anything else then yes you would have to pay. They had a couple of shows on a separate stage that you had to pay for

Hi they are all different dates so probably best to check beforehand, we got there and there was was no rotterdam markets till literally a week before Christmas, so we ended up in Amsterdam

There is a show in a special theatre that is extra if you want to watch it but it is cirque du soleil style There is also the main theatre with included shows and they all seemed children friendly when we were on

Thanks for watching. The ship has free wifi so you can use the msc app and look at menus. This wifi cannot be used for anything else

No we don't drink alcohol so just purchase soft drinks in the restaurants and the bars etc, the cans in the suitcase we just have in our cabin

If you just want one, book it once you get onboard. Some of them have dining experience menus, which are 3 course menus that work out cheaper, so have a look at those to see if they work out better for you

How much soda are you allowed to bring on board on embarkation day? I thought MSC did not allow passengers to bring any alcohol or beverages

We don't take on any alcohol just cans for our cabin. The suitcases will get scanned for security and they have never been taken any out or told we can't take them onboard

Hi Rob and no the £75 was for the 2 restaurants and a show whilst onboard. We had to pick from a set menu in the restaurants. We will do a video on this soon to explain how it all work . There was no other payment on top of this apart from our drinks we paid for in the restaurants

Hi Kathleen, we always take them and the worst that could happen is they confiscate them from us when embarking although this has never happened to us. We don't drink so have never tried it with Alcohol though , maybe they would be more stricter then 🤔 😉

They are both great ships. They both have differences that make them great ships. The seaview has some amazing glass bridges and a zipline. The Virtuosa has the rope bridges and the dome shows.

This ship is way to busy, have to stand most of the time and the queues are insane. Its way over packed, they should take 1000 less people like Iona does.

Getting worse having to pay for a show and 75 sounds each for a meal when they get all goods including booze duty and tax free. That is what you call a rip off.

It's for 2 speciality restaurants and a show. When we paid less than £900 for this cruise and that is for the 2 of us, we don't mind paying the extra for a meal as the cruise itself is so cheap. And of course these are all optional and nobody has got to eat there if they don't want. Seems like the Majority of cruise lines have speciality restaurants now

Just back from fijords on msc virtuosa never ever again avoid at all costs waste of money full to bursting couldn't get a drink waiting 30 to 40 mins you should have seen the yobs on deck 18 teen club when we arrived we asked about clubs for our grandson he 13 to e told oh we don't have one from 12 upwards to join in with the 17yr olds who intimidated the young kids to the point the kids wouldn't go to clubs so had to go around the ship with there parents was awful loud mouths yobs blasting music which was disgusting words who wants there kids to listen to filth guy who run the club had no control over them Absolutely would never ever use this cruise ship again msc this was my 3rd cruise davina and orchestra far superior to the virtuosa
