Hype Performance Group are back with another helicopter for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and one which looks to become their flagship product on release (27th October 2023) too!
We'll hop out of a farm within the beautiful NZA Simulations Milford Sound Region, and head south into Milford Sound itself as we fly this helicopter for the very first time!

very nice review of this Helicopter and scenery. it was like a blend of MSFS and Farming simulation 22. that RTX4090 does this scenery justice. now i want a helicopter.

Great wee preview video ..Thanks! I've a fair bit of NZA addons ..Mt Cook for example and i cant recommend their work highly enough! ..awesome. Really looking forward to thie release of HPG h160 too 😊

Milford Sound from NZA was stunning, the waterfalls flowing down the cliff, the boats sailing about - remarkably nice. New Zealand is spoilt with epic scenery

Beautifull scenery, and Helo. Thought you only did videos on fixed wing :) Not my part of the world, but if the rest of NZ is like this, I should start flying in that region. Thanks as allways, but you may have tricked me into looking more closely at the H160 ;)

Wow… that opening scenery with that helo… gorgeous! So tempted! Any comparisons to how the H145 flies? It looks like screens and systems are very similar. I found the H145/Airbus style of control logic made flying these modern helos a little sterile if you know what I mean. I enjoy having to wrestle them! 😂 Anyway, good job, catch ya later!

it's a good bit of kit - even for me as someone not confident with helos... it's smooth and easy to operate though so I guess "sterile"

Question, when you are doing a control check with the Cyclic, do you see the rotor disc in front of you move?

I did look and no I couldn't see it move though this is a preview build so you'd have to as Hype if it's a feature or not for the release one

Nice vid. I’d def pay for a high systems fidelity helicopter add on (care less about flight model for this) I’m just a little worried about the re-playability bc above 2,000 feet there are very, very few non-airport sceneries looking at closely imo and if I really wanted to I could explore them in an hour or two (like a fully modded NYC area which can get expensive and HDD intensive) . Visuals here very nice to look at regardless.

Honestly I think this is a lot of what MSFT is trying to address in MSFS24 so I actually applaud them for trying to expand the flight sim genre without requiring people to get 4-5k PCs

It's a beautiful helicopter but to me it seems that the movement of the aircraft is so strange that its is not fluid. I don't know, I'm not impressed with the flight dynamics. It could be an FS2020 issue or needs to be refined in this addon's codes.
