The Cessna 195 for MSFS2020 is a fantastic addition to the growing collection of available aircraft. In this video we will discuss how to plan a flight using Sky Vector, the in-game world map, and do a short IFR flight using the limited instruments in the 195.
This is not my best flight as it is so short, and you will see how sensitive the nav aids are when you are close. This aircraft is also without any autopilot to help so there is A LOT going on. This flight is with live weather and live time. Using all these principles you will be able to plan and fly much longer flights using VOR's and ILS approaches

Thanks for an easy to follow video on navigating with the VOR and ILS with the C195. I purchased this aircraft as soon as I saw it, enjoy flying it and can absolutely concur with your thoughts on landing it. About 1 in 3 or 4 are greasers and was astounded when one of the landings while following your video I ground looped it at Santa Barbara. First time understanding and using Sky Vector too, Thanks👍

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting! Landings on these tail draggers are tough when the CG is aft of the main wheels. I think the Beech 18 is one of the toughest to stay level on landing. Sy Vector is great for planning all sorts of flights! Especially if you mainly fly in the US. Cheers!

shift g…..lock that tail wheel

No tail wheel lock in the 195. Some people added aftermarket locks IRL but it never came with one and is not lockable in this model. Check my video out on how I fly tail draggers. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zr-lediktLzQipc.html
