Hey There, Try to uninstall then install from scratch (not reinstall), make sure you tick "RivaTuner" as part of the installed program. 1. Open the MSI Afterburner 2. Go to settings, it should be on the left of the generic HUD and would look like a "Gear" Icon 3. That should open the Properties Window, go to the third choice above which is "Monitoring" 4. Inside there should be a separate box where you can scroll up/down. GPU Temperature should be the first one listed 5. Select it and Tick the "Show in On-Screen Display". Now going back to the GPU Temperature in the earlier box, "IN OSD" should appear next to it. Now click Apply, and okay. (We're not done yet) 6. Lower right corner of your screen or the side box or your taskbar, look for rivatuner statistics, it'll look like a purple monitor. 7. This Menu will assist you in extra stuff you want such as moving your Overlay and increasing its size 8. Play a game in fullscreen and it should appear in the upper left corner of your monitor. Should look like this 05:24 Can also refer to this timestamp and just increase the videospeed in x2.0 for your convenience since you don't actually need to listen to it. 03:15 Hope this helps

@@ZenixsYTyou need to launch it from the menu in the bottom right next to time hit the ^ and it will be in there.

Unfortunately the display or overlay ONLY appears when you open a program, doesn't necessarily have to be a game, it would even show on photos and some other video players.

Not sure about those specifically but check the options in MSI Afterburner>settings>Monitoring Tab. then scroll down to the active monitoring hardware graphs and activate the OSD of whichever you want it to show

you need to make sure the box is checked RivaTuner Statistics Server during Afterburner installation and install that as well.

Hey There, you only need the general and monitoring tabs anyway. if you're using a laptop, in the general tab try to choose your GPU2 (the strongest one) this should add some more extra monitoring graphs in the monitoring tab under graphs. otherwise, try to uninstall then install again from scratch.

@@AinsHowToTutorials Hey! Yes, I have RivaTuner as well. There's also a tab called "Active hardware monitoring graphs" just above the OSD list in MSI AB. In there one can select what type of programs to help MSI AB deliver readings. One of them is HWInfo64 which on its own reads the sensors like normal, but inside of MSI AB it can't deliver readings. Weird. If I choose "CPU.dll" it only displays 206C across all cores, which is obviously a false reading.

Hmm that is indeed weird. a problem waay above my paygrade and havent encountered before. But, have you noticed your CPU temp and CPU clock has plenty of numbers right, by that i mean CPU1, CPU2, etc... Do you have CPU(0) Clock or CPU(0) Temp listed in those graphs? If yes, show those in your OSD. Do lemme know what happens P.S. Mind uninstalling (remove their root folder along with its contents) and reinstall from scratch?

Hey There, I'd encountered this too, i hope this solution will solve it: 1. Uninstall everything, install from scratch "make sure you've installed both afterburner and RivaTuner". 2. When you keep it checked during afterburner installation, you will see another Installer open up. It may seem like Afterburner installer has been opened twice but its not, its another installer for RivaTuner, so dont close it, click on next and install it as well. 3. In the end, you will be clicking "Finish" twice. Refer to This 01:15 and This 01:37 P.S. Try updating as well after installing just in case an older one was installed, 02:40 Do lemme know if it works

Hey There, I'm also using a laptop, therefore it should have 2 GPUS shown and by default it will use the GPU0 or first one embedded into the motherboard, in the main screen of the software you should have an option to select which GPU you want to show in your over-lay. When done, everything should work out fine. Otherwise, uninstall and install (not reinstall option), do it again from scratch and very slowly this time.

Hey There, lots of comments might help you out, either close the app once you got the game open or re-install and make sure you tick both checkboxes

Reinstalling might help, also if you start an application/game, try to do an alt-tab off/on your MSI overlay

What you are looking for is "override group name", change "gpu" or "cpu" to whatever you like.

Hey There, How about RivaTuner, did you install that too? most seem to think that it's a spamware included in the installer, but is actually the one that does the most. Try to "UNINSTALL" from scratch via control panel or uninstall tool then install again from the beginning.

uninstalling then install from scratch helped me with this (do not reinstall, delete all folders that came along with the installment)

cpu and gpu usage will be determined by the applications you use, opening lots of chrome tabs can overload both cpu and ram. certain games will use the full potential of your gpu. try installing twinmotion, this application uses 100% of gpu just by opening it. since you said you're using a laptop. it always uses its motherboard gpu as its first priority. go to graphic settings (win+q > graphics settings) tick hardware-accelerated gpu sched if you have that option and also from that menu you can browse certain apps you use and control which gpu you want to prioritize said application. hope this works for you.

With RivaTunerStatisticsServer, you can control where the overlay will be in the lower right portion of that menu. Either by dragging the color orange text anywhere on the screen, setting up a coordinate map, or click any of the corners in the screen, (blue indicates which corner it is at currently). Hope this helps.

Are you referring to the capability of moving the coordinates of the overlay shown? Go to RivaTuner, in the lower right corner of its window you should see a "60" with a Blue Highlighted Corner, drag the number "60" to control its coordinates also clicking the edges of the window would allow you to changes its position on-screen.

(We're not done yet) 6. Play a game in fullscreen and it should appear in the upper left corner of your monitor. The Overlay won't show in your monitor screen exactly as is like a Widget, you need to open certain programs. Like games, CAD/BIM softwares, it would sometimes also show up in adobe softwares.

Same here I try several times to reinstall and install the riva tuner. AMD RX 5500 XT is my GPU and if you ask the option from AMD there is no overlay display. But one time I try it again and experiment such things and It was successful LoL
